"Are you satifsied now? Look at what you've done! Just because of you, my son isn't coming home anymore."
"You have to do this, if you ever truly loved her."
"Please don't expect anything from this marriage. You can never be my wife."
Unknown to her, she was sweating while desperately trying to search for an escape from her companion of 3 years.
However hard she might try to be free of them, she couldn't. And sometimes she could but wouldn't do it. After all, he needed her, despite of what others said. She knew, yes it was true that they hadn't accepted her but he did. Without any hesitation. Just one word from him had stopped her. He was the sole reason she had stayed all those years. Her heart still couldn't decide if she did the right thing by leaving them forever. The screeching halt woke her up and gave her the temporary relief from her nightmares.
She looked at her left and saw the huge mansion decorated in a way that a single glance would tell you, that it's shaadi wala ghar. And why not, their princess was getting married after all. And she was prepared for a break from her same old routine. She was going to enjoy to her fullest. Thinking about the bride, Maanvi, Jeevika's mood instantly improved. She was here just for her sake after all. But she was not at all prepared for what was to come.
As soon as she stepped into the house, she was engulfed into a tight hug.
"Jeevi! Kahaan gaayab ho gayi thi yaar tum! Did you know, how much I tried to contact you. I didn't want to get married without you by my side. Ultimately it was Virat my fiancé who found your contact. How, I really don't know. I tried to ask, but he just wouldn't tell me. But, anyways. Now that you're here, I don't want to know anything anymore. Your presence is enough for me."
And just like that, the two began to reminisce their past.

Everyone was dancing and singing in joy. It was so different than when she got married. But that difference was being a relief right now. At least it didn't bring back those painful memories. But she also came to a realization. Seeing the present atmosphere and the atmosphere then she should have realized everything when he had asked for a simple court marriage. She shouldn't have kept her hopes high in denial. The truth had been right before her. She had been a hopeles fool and ended up getting disappointed. The mehendi designer's voice brought her back to present.
"What should I write on your hand?"
Before she could answer, she heard a familiar voice.
"Jeevi ma!"
She was not in a state to react at all. The shock was just too much to bear. But when she realized he was shaking, she somehow managed to spit out the words.
"K-karan!"
The 7 years old was hugging her tightly and sobbing so much that he ended up hiccuping
"I am sorry! Please come back!"
Hearing his words, she immediately picked him up and took him in the bedroom. Too many people had already seen him. She tried to ignore the thought of the person he must have come with.
She had somehow made him drink water to calm him down. He immediately clung to her again.
"I promise I am a good boy now. I complete homework like you told me to. I drink milk also without complaining even though it still tastes yuck. And I watch only Doraemon and Rollno.21. That makes 1 hour I think. Please come back ma. I don't want any toys. Please."
And just like always she couldn't hold herself back. She finally gave in running her hands through his hair trying to calm him down and he did like always.
She still couldn't form her response. How could she? She wanted to come back for him but she also knew he needs parents who share a healthy relationship between them and she couldn't give him that. His father wouldn't appreciate it at all.
"Look, didn't I tell you she must have something to do with his disappearance like always. She has already tried to do this before beta but I didn't let her succeed and now that she got a second chance she didn't even wait before showing her true colours again."

Seeing her again after 3 years was something Viren was unprepared for. Their marriage had been an arranged one, in fact more of a business deal for him. He later understood that she didn't want to get married at all at that time for she was too young, still completing her education but something had changed her mind. What it was he didn't know, but it was something that her father had said to her. But from what he had seen, he knew she would want to give a chance to their relationship because that's how she was from what he had seen then. And as a defense mechanism he told that he wanted a simple court marriage right the day after. With his connections that arrangement wasn't impossible. He was surprised when her father had agreed immediately not even giving her a chance to digest the news, as if eagerly waiting to get rid of her and left them both alone while he went upstairs whistling a tune. And Viren too had just glanced at her and took her leave for he knew he would change his mind if he saw her crying. And when she found solace in his son, he had separated them too. Now, looking at her he thought if things would have been much better if he had done things differently. While he had considered it as a way to separate them he didn't consider that Karan too would get attached to her. And Viren had succeeded in his plans. One day she just handed him the divorce papers without uttering a single word. When he had gone through them, he found she had already signed them and left home to never come back.
