"Ugggh...That brat. What the hell do I do?"

Viren couldn't help but feel frustrated. For one, his son was hell bent on having his Jeevima all to himself. He would follow her everywhere these 2 days and if any, the intensity only seemed to increase.

He could still remember how it all started.

Everyone was busy getting mehendi on their hands. And of course we know how this function is the perfect opportunity for wives to get pampered by their husbands, what with husbands feeding their wives and all. And that's the exact opening, Viren was waiting for. So of course Jeevika was told to get mehendi on her hands. But you see she was smart and didn't expect anything from Viren. Yes she had agreed for a second chance but it was still too soon to forget everything and move forward. So she tried to escape by going to have food before getting henna on her hands. But since Maanvi was the bride and Viren's newly recruited secret ally she decided to use her supposedly temporary 'I-am-the bride-so-you-should-listen-to-me' powers.

"Oof Jeevi! Tu mere saath baith na. Mere saath khale na khaana."

"Par Maanvi-"

"Par var kuch nahi sunna mujhe, tu meri bestie nahi behen hai yaar! Aur teri jagah mere baju mein hai. Meri baat nai maanegi kya?"

"Aisa kuch nai h-"

"Aisa nai toh kaisa hai? Khaane ki baat hai toh Viren bhai khila denge tujhe."

And, Viren was expected on cloud nine. He knew Maanvi understood his thanks from his smile itself. She winked her welcome.

But too much dreaming can land you in trouble specially daydreaming. And that's exactly what happened. His own son spoiled his plans. While he was busy feeding his Jeevika in his la la land, here his supposedly dream was getting crumbled to pieces due to his own son.

"No, no I will feed her. No one else. She's my mother. So I will only feed her."

Karan demanded. Viren was shocked at this unexpected twist.

'Mera apna beta meri khushiyon ki kurbani de raha hai. Wow!'

"You will right maa? Aap mere haath se khana khaoge ya papa ke?"

Jeevika just looked at Viren, worried that hearing Ma from Karan's mouth must have sent alarms into everyone's mind and now they will get a new topic to gossip. She didn't know how to respond. On one hand, her relationship would come out in the open, which she was not ready for and now some outsiders will be declaring their unnecessary opinions on matter that was too personal.

And as you might have guessed it, Karan ended up feeding Jeevika and everyone got to know they were husband and wife. But it didn't turn out bad at all. In fact it turned tides in his favor. Maanvi told everyone that they had a bet as to how many days till Viren follows Jeevika to the wedding. And then all ladies went into fangirl mode, saying how Viren was sweet and couldn't wait even a couple of hours till he followed his wife. And after all that drama he got the chance to share bedroom with her now that everyone knew about them and the old ladies were more than happy to let them share the bedroom. You would think he would be happy because of that. Mind you, he was.

'Now that we are sleeping in the same bedroom I can talk to her about how to go ahead.'

But then, Karan's evil smirk came to his mind. With Karan being there any chance of private talk went down the drain. So he enlisted an old lady's help saying how he wanted to have some alone time with his wife and she agreed to occupy Karan's time. So now he and Jeevika were alone. He had everything planned out about how he would ask her on a date and for the night they would have some pillow talks.

"Jeevika, I was thinking we could restart by getting to know each other ...you know some casual talks with coffee."

But he truly underestimated his son's talent.

Before Jeevika could reply anything, they both heard a knock on the door. Opening the door he found the same old lady along with his crying son. Though he couldn't really see any tear streaks on his son's cheeks.

"Poor boy had a nightmare and couldn't stop crying about it. He wanted to see his mom so I couldn't help but let him get back."

And, that's how almost every plan ended up. You would think with the way things were going he would be angry at his son. But that wasn't the case. Inspite of all this, he couldn't help but feel proud if his son. He knew why Karan was acting like this. He was just protecting his mother from getting hurt, so as not give her any chance to say no for returning home with them. Oh, the irony! If only he could make his son understand that he should let his parents make up if he wanted his mother back. And, he had to do something about it soon, since after the wedding is over they won't get any chance to even see each other. He sighed tired of just running around in circles without finding any solution.

And that's exactly how Virat found him, sitting on bed running his hands through his hair.

"Are bhai kya kar rahe ho? Kyu apne baal ukhadne pe tule hue ho? Takla hona hai kya? Shaadi hui iska matlab ye nahi ki khoobsoorti kam karke koi asar nai hota. Balki use barkarar rakhna chahiye. Aise."

Virat showed by running hands through his hair in style giving a wink to imaginary lady audience.

Viren couldn't decide if he was frustrated because of the word 'beautiful' or Virat's taunting as a whole. He was this close to losing his mind. But he couldn't afford to, no he won't do it. Why you ask? Virat was the key.

'Control Viren control! You need him right now. Agar Virat hi nahi raha toh shaitaan ke khilaaf saajish karne dusra shaitaan kahaan se layega tu?'

"Look, if you don't wanna help just leave."

"Chill dude, madat karne hi toh aaya hun. Waise maanna padega, beta toh baap se bhi aage nikla."

"Tu meri madat karne aaya hai ya mere jale pe namak chhidakne?"

"Are ha ha. Itna bhi kya gussa. Look, here's the plan."

Normally, the mehendi haldi and wedding are on 3 consecutive days. But here in Maanvi's case her parents and in laws decided to have the day before wedding as a function free day so everyone could get some rest and enjoy the wedding wholeheartedly. And that's exactly what Virat knew these 2 needed. A break fron all this to a location where no one would disturb these 2.

'A getaway romance!'

And that's how, our favorite pair ended up in Viren's car without a meddlesome son in the middle. Their son would be handled by Virat. Viren parked his car as they neared the Marine drive.
