Chapter 2

Serena never had a boy best friend. She's awkward to people na hindi niya close. She's an ambivert and boring din siya kasama, even though she's trying her best to entertain and talk to people since she works part-time at a convenience store.

She looked at Alex who is currently reading a book. She sighed. She remembered what happened earlier. Serena can't believe she's talking to him a while ago. And it's her first time talking to him. Also, Serena can't believe she's acted like they're so close.

She usually doesn't talk to boys. Only kung about ito sa acads or kapag groupings. That's why Serena is nervous because that simple conversation may turn her life upside down. She prays to the Lords in heaven na hindi mangyayari yun.

She just wanted to live a normal life.

"Girl," Maxie taps her shoulder, wearing her grinning face as usual. May chika na naman ito.

"Yes you are correct Serena," Angela said as if she's reading her mind.

Right now is the best time na sumabay sa trip ng mga kaibigan niya para hindi na niya isipin 'yung nangyari kanina.

"Balita ko, nakita daw nila si Beatrice sa isang bar tapos umiiyak. Broken hearted daw. Tapos nag-out of town siya pagkatapos 'nun," Maxie informed them. Tumango tango na lang si Serena.

Big deal sa lahat ng students dito sa campus ang nangyayari sa buhay ni Beatrice. She's the most popular girl in the campus. Lahat ay updated sa buhay niya.

But Serena doesn't really care.

She wondered bakit nila pinag-uusapan si Beatrice eh ang lapit lapit lang ng upuan niya sa inuupuan nila ni Maxie.

"And girl, she lost her memories. May amnesia siya," Maxie added kaya napataas ang kilay ni Serena.

"She had an accident nung pauwi na siya. Gosh, I feel bad for her," Maxie said and glanced at Bea's empty seat.

On the other hand, Angela is busy scrolling into her social media accounts. Silang dalawa ni Maxie ang palaging updated sa mga latest gossips.

"Teka nga," inilapit ni Maxie ang upuan niya kay Serena at tinignan ito. "Close pala kayo ni Alex? Bakit magkasama kayo kanina?" She asked

Serena's heart pounded by Maxie's question. Her eyes darted on Alex and she didn't know why. As if nasa kay Alex ang sagot.

But when she landed her gaze at him, mas bumilis ang tibok ng puso niya. She realized Alex was staring at her the whole time.

Agad napaiwas ng tingin si Serena and smiled at her best friends.

"N-Nagkataon lang," she said

"I saw you two talking," Angela said, still eyes on her phone.

"Ah wala 'yun," Serena smiled awkwardly and scanned her notes to get away from the topic.

Looks like Maxie was convinced nang ngumiti ito sa kanya at ibinaling na ang atensyon sa phone niya.

Serena turned to Angela's direction and she intentionally glanced at Alex para malaman kung nakatitig pa ito.
