Serena never imagined someone as her knight in shining armor. Or her superhero who could protect her.  Or her guardian angel.

If she could meet one of them ay matutuwa siguro siya to the extent point na maiiyak siya dahil may magtatanggol na sa kanya at tutulong every time she's being clumsy again.

But this man right over here is not one of them. Serena didn't consider him as her knight in shining armor since she is fuming mad at him right now.

Ewan. She didn't know why. Bad trip lang siguro siya.

"Nakakatatlo ka nang utang sa akin, Serena ha," Again, Alex reminded her na mas lalong nakapagpagalit sa kanya. Tumayo siya at padabog na kinuha ang mop.

"Sinabi ko bang tulungan mo ako? Diba hindi? Why are you insisting on helping me? Para mas lumaki ng lumaki ang utang ng loob ko sa'yo? Okay, I needed your help once. Once lang ha? Isa lang ang naging utang ko sa'yo at wala nang iba. Please lang I can manage na so you don't have to help me," Serena angrily said but still there is lightness in her voice. Hindi talaga mapapansin na galit na galit siya but when you look inside her soul, sobrang galit na siya.

"You're not a knight in shining armor and I'm not a damsel in distress so get lost," she said at tumalikod sa kanya para ibalik ang mop.

"I'm not a knight in shining armor nor you're not a damsel in distress but my chivalrous instinct says I should help you with your clumsiness,"

What he said made Serena stop.

"You see, I wasn't really sure why I was waiting for you outside. Maybe because I saw how absentminded and clumsy you were kaya I decided to look out for you," he said without any hesitation.

Serena's jaw dropped at halos mabitawan na niya ang hawak niyang mop sa sinabi niya. Dahan-dahan siyang lumingon kay Alex.

"Okay. This and what I did a while ago are not counted--- okay fine. Wala ka nang utang sa akin but," he trailed off and looked at Serena directly in the eyes, making her feel anxious about what he is going to say.

"But starting from this night, I don't think I'll stay away from you,"

Her grip on the mop tightened. She rolled her eyes at him, she's really annoyed right now.

"And why is that?" she asked

"Because your behavior concerns me," He said. Mas naasar si Serena sa sinabi niya.

"Ang bait mo naman. Maybe you should mind your own business. I don't care if I am a kiss of death or whatever you'll call me. It's my life and I don't need any help," pagtataray niya at ibinalik na ang mop.

Nang makabalik siya sa counter, she saw Alex scanning her notes habang kumakain ng icecream.

"Really?" she mumbled at lumapit sa kanya.

"Hindi ka pa ba uuwi?" She asked

"Ikaw, hindi ka pa ba uuwi?" He glanced at her

"Hindi pa tapos ang shift ko," she answered

"Kelan ba matatapos ang shift mo?"

"11," tipid niyang sagot

"At maglalakad ka lang pauwi?" he asked

"Yep,"

Napatingin siya kay Alex and based on his expression, hindi siya makapaniwala sa naging sagot ni Serena.

"What?"  she raised her brow

"You just walk to your home at this late at night?" he asked again
