"Hey! Hey! Who's this?" Apollo shouted watching his sister run alongside an unknown man. "Ahkmenrah." She answered simply, not stooping until he grabbed her shoulders and spun her around to face him.
"The pharaoh we had decided we weren't going to let out?" He hissed, not caring that the person in question was standing a meter or so behind her. "He's fine and he's on our side, brother." She scowled slightly at him, he had no reason to question their judgment on letting him out.
"He looks at you funny." Apollo stated.
"85% of men who aren't directly related to me look at me funny." She sassed, smirking.
"You're being narcissistic." He replied, but Artemis could see he was holding back a laugh. "Not as narcissistic as you, asshole. Besides, that's what Aphrodite told me when I was feeling sad." She pulled her brother into a quick hug. "I gotta go, love you."
"This sounds an awful lot like goodbye." Her brother frowned, not liking the situation one bit. He had always been slightly protective of his sibling, and the way that she wasn't telling him where she was going or what she was going to do frightened him.
"It's not." She shouted with a wave as the group walked away.
"Your brother is protective. That's a good quality to have over a loved one." Ahkmenrah commented. "I suppose." She replied, smiling at him.
Her smile was the first one he had seen in a long while, he liked it.
They ran into the balcony, halted and leaned over the edge.
It was reckless anarchy.
"Is it always like this?" Ahkmenrah asked, looking away from the scene to her. "I can't say that it is, no." She breathed, still looking across the fighting. Ahkmenrah looked away from her, spotting the yelling huns. "What is that?" He leaned slightly in Larry's direction.
"I gotta deal with this guy." Larry murmured, heading in Attila's direction. The group followed shortly after him, not entirely sure of his plans.
"So you're a goddess and you can't do anything to fix this?" The curly-haired man asked as he jogged alongside her. Artemis glowered at him. "You can't talk, buddy, I'm not the one that's an actual Egyptian Pharaoh!I'm made of wax! I'm not even real!"
"You seem real enough to me." He spoke softly and she sent him what was soft of an almost grateful smile.
Larry and Attila were screaming loudly at each other, but soon stopped abruptly and began trading insults in Hun until Ahkmenrah stepped in.
