It was a normal spring evening. A few rain storms here or there by nothing out of the ordinary. Alexander was out at the bar with few friends. Though it was basically him and Hercules because John and Lafayette were so into making out they left that table and went to another.

They were having fun for once. Especially Alex. Hercules needed a bit of help loosening up since Burr has been so overdramatic about their cat, Cola having a cold. Alexander's condition was worse. There were constant rumors getting to him about Thomas, his boyfriend, cheating on him.

The rumor started when James Madison, a friend of Hercules and Burr, spotted Jefferson driving his secretary, Sally Hemmings, home multiple times a week. That or she would drive him home. Alexander dismissed most of these. He tried to at least. It was hard for him since he could get very jealous.

Thomas was at home the entire time. He was popping a bottle of merlot open. Suddenly, as her pouring the wine into two crystal glasses, two tanned arms crept around his neck. A pair of lips coated in dark purple lipstick kissed his cheek.

"Come on Thomas~" A soft voice purred, "I wanna unpause the show~," she said walking over to his couch and plopping down.

"Sally," he said walking over and handing her wine, We gotta be careful love. I dunno when Alexander will be-" his words were cut off by a kiss.

"When are you gonna break up with him? I wanna be able to call you my boyfriend. Not have my friends set me up on blind dates and have creepy guys at the bar ask me out." She cuddled up next to him and took a sip of wine. "Let's just watch Game of Thrones."

Alexander and Hercules continued to talk when Aaron Burr and James Madison walked in along with Maria Lewis. Aaron came over and kissed Hercules. James and Maria were acting all lovey-dovey since they started dating.

Alexander hung his head. He longed for Thomas to show affection in public, but he never did. Thomas never showed him any affection. He didn't even act like they were dating. He acted like they were roommates.

Hercules could sense Alexander's distracted behavior. He motioned for everyone to quit with the lovey-doviness. That's when, out of the blue, Maria punch James in the arm. He shook his head and she punched him again.

"Alexander," she said, "There is something you need to know." She cleared her throat. "When I was at the salon today, a girl named Sally Hemmings was going on and on about this guy, they like each other but he had a boyfriend. That's when...when...I'm so so so so sorry Alexander." She felt shameful, she went to leave when Alexander embraced her.

'Thank you, Maria." He said as he disappeared.

Thomas picked up the empty crystal glasses and the dry wine bottle. Sally had fallen unconscious on their sectional. He was rinsing out the glasses when the sound of a lock opening startled him causing him to drop the glasses, breaking them, awakening Sally.

"Go hide!" Thomas said, showing her the closet. "Stay right here."

Alexander came in, his eyes red and swollen from crying. His breath was heavy and exasperated. He didn't look Thomas in the eye. he just stood there, silently crying. Thomas' heart sank. This was...he didn't know. Was Alexander his soulmate? Or Sally?

"Why?" Alexander spoke out in a soft tone, almost like a lullaby.

"Alexander, sugar..." Thomas said, making his southern drawl a bit more forceful, making it take over the words. "What in tarnation are you takin bout honey?"

Alexander walked past Thomas to the closet. Thomas hung his head and kept his mouth shut. Karma had caught up with him and Karma was a pain in the rear. The closet door opened to show a rembling Sally. Alexander looked at her. She knew he was an ex-soldier. If he wanted, he could probably have her killed. Instead, he reached a hand to her.

"You should go. Thomas will call you later. I'll handle him. Though you're a very pretty woman and you don't this cheating bum." Alexander helped her up and she went to run out the door.

Thomas went to grab her arm but she pulled away. She ran down the stairs to her car. She couldn't believe she missed the bigger picture. She was helping someone cheat.

Thomas looked at Alexander. "Thank you, Alexander. For not..ya know, lashing out at Sally. She's a sweet girl who-"

"You convinced to go out with you and possibly even sleep with you while I was out while you we see me and you, let me guess, bribed Maria, James, and Aaron to keep quiet? I kinda picked up on that." Alexander said, crossing his arms.

"Alaexander...listen..." Thomas began.

"No, Thomas! For once YOU'RE gonna listen. Do you know how many rumors I dismissed? How many people did I tell that you were trustworthy? How many times I thought I was telling the truth whereas all of your lies have infected my truths, making them rotten. And all because I trusted you. I LOVED YOU THOMAS! I really did. You were my world. Now, you're...you're" Alexander broke.

"Baby...I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt ya, no this bad. I figured you'd find out after the affair was over. Who knew James would really tell..."

Alexander pulled a soft, black, velvet box out from his back pocket. The velvet had stuck to the denim. He popped the box open to reveal an engagement ring with three metals combined. It had Gold, Silver, and Platinum. Engraved in it was "To my one, true love, my flame, my everything, my soulmate."

Thomas broke, he fell on the floor crying. He had broken Alexander and Alexander had broken him. Alexander took the ring and stuck it in his hand.

"Here," he said, "for your real soulmate."

And Thomas watched at his soulmate, Alexander Hamilton, walked out of his life, forever.
