Cameron's POV
Beep, beep, beep
'What the hell is that?' I thought frowning coming out of my sleep induced haze. I rolled over trying to get away from the damn sound pulling my pillow over my head to stop the noise.
Beep, beep, beep
"WHAT THE HELL!" I cried out as I swung my arm to the right to destroy whatever was making that sound.
I looked down to see shattered pieces of my alarm clock. I smirked at the sight of the crushed pieces scattered on the bedroom floor glad that the sound stopped. Knowing that I needed to get up I sat up and ran my hand through my spiked up hair and down across my face as I blinked the sleep away. I swung the blanket off of me and got out of bed walking only in my boxers to the closet and pulled out the closest clothes I could find.
Turns out it was my dark blue jeans, blue vans, and a black t-shirt, I got dressed when I heard another annoying ringing sound near my bed, grumbling under my breath I walk over to it and see that it's my phone notifying me that I should wake up.
In one swift movement I plucked it up from its resting place, 7:00 A.M. it read, not bad timing for waking up. Not bothering to fix my hair I decided to go downstairs to make breakfast.
Walking down the brown, hollowed, wooded stairs I made my way into the kitchen and walked straight around the granite island which was in front of the brown table enough to seat 500 people. Behind the table were gray granite counters with matching brown cabinets above them. Underneath the counter on the far left was a red velvet dishwasher, on the far right is a black oven, and in the center was a refrigerator.
I reached into the cupboard to get some cereal and grabbed a bowl from another placing it out on the counter and began to poor the cereal in. Then out of nowhere I get mind linked by my father.
'Cameron, Come meet me in my office.'
Before I could reply he cut our connection. I groaned and slammed the fruit loops box down on the table and reluctantly walked to my father's office.
While walking down the hallway I noticed many omega's passing through and doing chores that were needed to be done. Majority of them walked away with fear in their eyes and backed up when I passed, some bowing in respect. I clenched my jaw and stood up straighter giving anyone who dared look right at me one of my signature glares sending them scurrying away.
Once I reached up to the honey colored doors with a plaque displaying my dad's name, I walked in and saw my father staring intently at a map that shows the packs perimeters. I remember when I had to learn about the pack boundaries and the other alpha's surrounding us. The gruelling hours I spent patrolling with the pack so that I knew the area inside out, it had surely tested my endurance but I pushed ahead. I could already feel my wolf becoming stronger, we were both ready to take over from my dad.
I cleared my throat but dad didn't look up. I inwardly groaned and walked up to his desk and slammed my hand on it rudely. He slowly looked up at me and gave me his classic death glare, however it didn't affect me much seeing how close I was to becoming alpha. I raised my hand slowly while keeping eye contact with him, to show that I'm not intimidated by him.
He growled lowly at me. "Know your place pup."
I scoffed at his words. "You and I both know well enough that I am far from a pup, dear alpha."
"And you and I both know that I could always replace your status with another member who contains power and skill." I growled at him for implying to replace me with another to become alpha. He only smirks at me and nodded his head towards the chair in front of his desk.
