Singing

Felicity sat next to Laurel's body. Tears streamed her face and her eyes were red and puffy.

She took Laurel's hand and squeezed it in a reassuring manner.

Looking around the room she couldn't see anyone there. She looked back at Laurel.

"You are my sunshine," she sang, quietly. "My only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know, dear, who much I love you." Her voice broke slightly. "So... please don't - take my sunshine," she sniffed. "Away." She broke down in tears, sobbing loudly, holding her friend's hand tightly.

Oliver came down the stairs to the Foundry. He could head someone singing quietly. He looked into the room and saw Felicity, sobbing next to Laurel.

He walked over to her quietly and put a hand on her shoulder. She started then looked up.

"Oliver," she whispered.

"Hey," he said. "I didn't know you could sing like that."

"My mom used to sing to me before I went to sleep," Felicity said, looking at her friend. "I don't want to think of her as dead. She just asleep. We'll see her again one day."

Oliver pulled Felicity into a hug. "Just asleep," he whispered.
