Allergies

Felicity sat down with the rest of team Arrow in Big Belly Burger and they all ordered their usual burgers, fries and milkshakes. Then Carly came over.

"Hey," she said. "So we have a new desert that not many people would like to try and I was wondering if you guys would like to try one."

"Sure," said Diggle, smiling. "We'd love to."

Carly smiled. "Great." She soon came back with seven large ice creams. She gave each of team arrow a bowl and left again.

Oliver, Diggle, Laurel, Roy, Thea and Sara all dug into their ice creams and savoured the taste exploding on their tongues.

Felicity began her ice cream, scooping up a large spoon with a bit of everything in it. She swallowed it slowly and considered the taste. A flash of fear went through her.

"Is that peanut butter?" She said hesitantly. The others looked over at her.

"I think so," said Roy, tasting his again.

Felicity swore and then began rummaging through her bag frantically.

"Is something wrong Felicity?" said Laurel.

Felicity began to hyperventilate. "No!" she moaned, still unable to find what she was looking for. "Where is it?"

"Felicity?" said Thea.

Felicity began gasping for air. "Ambulance!" she wheezed. "I can't breath!"

Diggle pulled his phone out quickly and dialled 911, listing off all information necessary.

"They'll be here in five minutes," he said, hanging up again. "Felicity put hands on your head, it should make it easier to breath."

Felicity did so and half an hour later she was in a hospital bed, surrounded by her friends.

"I'm allergic to nuts," she said, when Sara asked what happened. "I usually have my epi-pen in my bag but I must have forgotten it this morning."

"Why didn't you tell us?" asked Oliver. "That's the kind of information that we should know. We're a team Felicity."

"The last time I had an allergic reaction was when I was ten," she said flatly. "You can understand that I didn't think I would be having an allergic reaction any time soon. Besides. We never eat in the Arrow cave- sorry, Foundry- and I usually get the same thing when I go out to eat, so that nothing like this happens."

Oliver nodded, gripping Felicity's hand in his. They all still looked worried.

"I'm fine, guys," she said, exhaustedly. "Just tired. As soon as I get out of here, I'm going home for a shower, a bowl of ice cream that doesn't have nuts in it and a nap."

Oliver smiled at her. "Ok," he said quietly. "But from now on, you tell us about these things."

Felicity nodded. "Okay."
