The train slowly huffed to a stop in the large station. I had to ditch the police numerous times to get Aus here because they thought I was a member of some sort of cult with Aus being a victim.

Her laughter was ceaseless. It got to the point where it made me wonder whether this was the electricity talking, or just Aus herself acting so strangely. I had never seen her this way and it honestly was frightening. On my way to the station, Blighters made moves towards me as if to attack, until they saw her. As if there was some sort of respectful understanding between us, they left us alone.

No one wanted to mess with the Devil's doings on this woman.

Henry and Evie came out a few cars down, talking and stretching their legs. They were in deep conversation, heading the opposite direction of me down the platform towards the end of the train.

"Evie!" I called out. "Henry! Help me, please." Evie turned around with a smile on her face as if to mock me...until she saw Aus.

We were already attracting a lot of attention on the train platform. Spectators were covering their mouths or eyes at the horrific scene of the disheveled woman in my tow.

I glanced at Aus who was staring at the train stoically. She looked at me suddenly and grinned. "One step, two step, one Frye, two Frye." She pointed at Evie at "one Frye", then me at "two Frye."

"Aus, stay put," I told her.

She looked at me again and chuckled. "Where would I go? I don't have a home, silly Assassin!"

I rushed over to Evie who met me half way. She grabbed my forearms and held me in place. The intensity and the questioning in her eyes were clear. Henry was the same.

"What in the bloody blazes happened?" she whispered harshly. She stole a quick glance behind me, then returned her attention to me.

  "I can't explain it now--"

"Hey!" Henry shouted. He ran past us and grabbed Aus who looked like she was about to collapse.

"I--" Aus seemed disoriented by the movement of her body. Her legs shook and her arms were suddenly covered with visible goosebumps unlike before. She seemed to begin to notice her surroundings. The color in her face once drained was slowly returning though. That had to be a good sign. Henry grabbed her and held her steady.

"Jacob!" Evie growled. "Why isn't she dressed?! It's freezing!"

"Don't you think I've tried? She wouldn't stay put. And if I knocked her out again like I did last time to put her clothes back on, with the shock treatment she's received, I don't think living would be a possibility for her."

  "Shock treatment?!"

By now, we were surrounded by an entire crowd of people. Hushed murmurs were heard through the air. People were pointing and staring at the confused half naked woman.

"Get out of here!" I yelled at the crowd, anger seething within me. "Go! This is not a circus; go mind your own business!" I shooed them away vehemently. Only some complied.

"Hey! My train is not a fucking charity!" Agnes MacBean shouted, stepping off of the first train car. "Get that homeless man away from my train!"

"Agnes, she's one of us," said Henry. "She's just...a mess."

"Then why are you soggy biscuits keeping her out in the open? It's bloody cold and there's a crowd!"

Evie took Aus' clothes and weapons from me and ushered her into the train. Henry and I followed closely behind. The train suddenly lurched. Evie, Henry, and I were able to hold ourselves up, however, Aus slipped from Evie's grasp and collapsed in a heap. Evie pulled her back up again, pushing her into the bath car. The door snapped shut behind them.
