a/n: this chapter is short but i didn't really know what else to write in this chapter :/

The next morning...

.

It was warm, and calming. His house made me feel so safe, even though I'd never even been there before. It was morning and the sun pierced in through his white curtains that hung above the bay window in his living room. I groaned and rubbed my eyes, yawning, laying on the blue couch. It was really quiet, but I swore I could hear birds chirping outside.

Smiling, I rolled over on my back, and looked up at the clock above the fireplace. Weird how I knew where it was. I read 12:43 p.m., I never slept this late. I got up, wrapping the pink blanket around my physique, tip-toeing to knock on Jimin's door. I heard him groan and sheets shuffle, followed by footsteps, the white door swung open. Jimin's hair was a mess, and his eyes were even sleepier than last night. He wore plaid pajama bottoms and a black t-shirt.

I don't think he remembered me staying over, because he looked so confused. "What.. what are you doing here?" He looked me up and down, the blanket parted and revealed my legs. "Uh..." He checked to see if he was wearing pants.

I yelled and hit his shoulder, "Jimin!" My cheeks were bright red and I wrapped the blanket around me even more. "Remember? The cops last night?"

"Oh crap... What did we do?" Jimin's eyes filled with regret and he covered his face with his tiny hands. "Ughh."

"No, Jimin-ah!" I wanted to punch him so hard. "You're a pervert."

"Me?" He gestured towards himself, shouting at me.

"Oh my goodness." I swept my messy bangs behind my ear. "Someone broke into my house last night so you let me stay over." I lied about the 'breaking in' part. "You don't really think I'd do that with you, right? We met like four days ago.."

"Ohh, ya. Yup, I remember now." He nodded, cursing inaudibly as he tapped his head. "I was just so tired. But you can't blame me, why else would you have been here," His cheeks were red, and his pointed towards my legs, "and wearing no pants?"

I opened the blanket, not caring anymore. "Its a night-dress. I didn't have time to change." I scoffed and covered myself up again, turning around and heading towards the living room.

"Eunjae, I'm sorry." Jimin shook his head and headed towards his kitchen, getting a coffee container down from one of the cabinets.

"It's fine." I smiled a little and laid back down, "So, don't you have to work?"

"No, I work from home, usually." He mumbled, his voice groggy. "Want some coffee?"

"I can't drink it." I muttered. "It gets my heart racing too fast."

"Ah, I see. I don't have decaf.. Sorry." I heard his spoon clinking against the mug as he stirred his coffee. He came and sat by me. I shrugged. "Wanna talk about last night?"

My happy expression dropped. I shivered, the color in my cheeks disappearing out of nowhere. I looked out the window, through the crack of the curtains. I eyed the house that I didn't consider a home anymore. "I-I..."

"Come on." Jimin patted my shoulder, taking a sip of his coffee.

"You won't believe me." I mumbled under my breath, glancing down at my hands. That thing, it wasn't human. It was something else, something vicious. Jimin egged me on, insisting that he would. "I..." I took a second to think of how to explain it, "I was attacked." I rubbed my left arm, goosebumps arising.

"By who..?" Jimin's eyes flooded with worry, and somewhat anger, when I looked at him.

I shook my head, rubbing my temples. "Mm.. no." I looked up, searching for the words. "Not who."

"Huh?"

"By what." I corrected him, glancing away. I wasn't able to see his expression, but I'm pretty sure he thought I was crazy now. That was a mistake, I should've just let him believe it was a simple break-in. Who knows, maybe I am going insane. I thought, twiddling my thumbs.

We sat there in silence, I didn't hear him say anything. Not until now at least, "I see." He sipped his coffee. "Ignore it."

Wow. He didn't believe me. I laughed and got up. "Jimin, I can't. I can't just ignore it. It touched me, it made me... feel things. Things no person should feel." I covered my face, turning away from him. "I wanted to hurt myself." I muttered, cursing softly. "Aishh, if you don't believe me-.."

Jimin cut me off, "I believe you.." He got up and walked into his kitchen, setting his mug in the sink. "Ignore it. If it comes back, don't let it know you're afraid." I turned and looked at him, studying his expression, I was confused. "Those things.." He glanced down at his feet and back up at me, "They feed off of your energy. They like to get you all wound up like a toy car before they let you snap. That's when they attack."

"How do you.." I whispered, puzzled.

"Ah, my mind is messed up. I watch too many episodes of ghost adventures." He chuckled, running a hand through his messy hair. I shook my head, laughing too. "Just be strong." He smiled, his eyes smiling almost just as much as his mouth was.

"I'll try, Jimin-ah." I sighed. "I'm gonna head back to my place, I'll see you later." I smiled weakly, headed for the door.

"Oh? Alright. Bye!" He chirped, "Oh and Eunjae.."

"Yes, Jiminie-chan?"

"Don't forget your moving blanket." He smiled smugly, snickering as he stared at my physique.

"AISHH!! JIMIN-AHH!"
