CHAPTER TWO

― ARIANA'S PERSPECTIVE
I'M HONESTLY AT DISBELIEF. I can't believe I was actually just talking to Daniel Seavey. But I'm not sure how he would react when I tell him my age. But low-chances as if he'd like me; I have no chance ― a fifteen-year-old dating a nineteen-year old. not possible
Joy and disappointment waves over me as I shook my head continuously scolding myself for imagining such boorish thoughts.
I walked into an empty science lab and sat down on an empty bench near the front window and organise my books on my table and place my laptop bag next to my table carefully not wanting to misplace the fragile item.
I glanced upwards, only to be greeted by our school's famous moron ― Asher Smith.
Asher and I grew up together in the same neighborhood which helped build our friendship in a young age. As we grew up he changed. We used to be close friends; his mother and mine would always go out and I would be stuck with Asher babysitting my dog while our dads were at work.
I don't know what happened to him actually.
Rumors stated that in 7th grade Asher got rejected by his first high-school crush, so he and his friend's decided to bully her for rejecting him. Body-shaming her, and comparing her academic statistics with other student. Ashley ―I presume that's her name― moved states and now Asher been like this ever since.
― IN THIRD PERSON
The cantankerous male hovered over Ariana's table, knocking of her multi-coloured pens that had been neatly organised. Ariana let out an impatient groan as she rolled her eyes at the sight displayed in front of her.
She hopped off the tall stool she had just been sitting on, holding onto her navy-blue- vulgar school skirt. Clutching onto her skirt preventing it from being seen by perverted male-classmates that had no control over their hormones. She crouched down, collecting all three of her pens that were lying helplessly on the tiled floor.
Ariana stood up once she had collected her pens and returned to the stool she had previously sat on. She began organising her pens neatly once again, ignoring the aggravating presence of Asher.
Asher rolled his eyes as he observed the scene in front of him.
Once Ariana had finished organising her pens, she looked up. A smirk plastered on Asher's bothersome face gave Ariana the urge to slap it right off, but she knew better. She knew violence was never the answer.
So instead she blunty asked "What do you want and why are you here?" the brim of her nose darted downwards indicating and asking 'why are you on my desk'.
A cough escaped the lips of Asher as he asked "hey beautiful-". Ariana couldn't help but cringe. She laughed loudly as she clutched onto her stomach for support. "-Mind if I take you on a date this afternoon?".
Ariana wasn't able to help herself. She couldn't control her laughter. Which again caused Asher to roll his eyes again. As Ariana was able to maintain her self consciousness again, she replied with an unpleasant tone. "No I do mind, now get off my desk". "I was just asking bab-"
"Asher get off Ariana's table". Finally their science teacher had arrived. Asher turned and glared at Ariana who greeted him back with a fake smile. "Ok sir" he had replied.
He got off Ariana's table and sat beside her, as there was an empty seat.
Mr. Lee got out a whiteboard marker as he began to start his lesson "Ok, now who here knows how the nervous system works?".
Silence filled the room. Bored, Ariana answered "The brain sends messages to the nervous system in order for the body to move and function and that's how we walk every day."
"Excellent" a dull tone emphasising that he was already bored.
