I opened the door and shut it when I was fully out. Not many kids were here, though. Some bus kids were heading to the cafeteria where breakfast was offered.
"Do you have to get your schedule and stuff from the office?" I asked John as he strolled beside me. I didn't understand him. I mean, on the outside he had this appearance that came off as confident and the perfect guy and to see that he's scared of dogs and nervous of school seemed unreal. However, I found his actions extremely cute.
"Yes, I do." He started walking in front of me, leading the way. John looked around, searching for the main office. "Yeah, where's the main office?"
I laughed. "I thought you already took a tour,"
A few days ago, John and his family came and took a tour of the school for his orientation. He was suppose to know and remember all the basics.
"I did, but I forgot."
"Or the nervousness is getting to your head," I smirked at him and ushered toward the office. I peeked back at him to see his eyes glaring at the concrete with a hidden soft smile.
After getting all his paper work and forms and such, we headed toward Dylan's locker in the second building on the third floor.
"The ladies here are so nice," he commented.
"No, they were just attracted to you," the ladies within the main office were absolute crudes. They were extremely rude and intolerable. They also looked down on you as if you were nothing. Unless, of course, they liked you, which is rare. I couldn't even bother to go in there, I just waited at the door. We had an accident and I would not like them to bring it up because for some reason they seem to remember everything.
"I doubt that, ma-" before he could finish his statement, I tapped the guy in front of me.
He was a dark, very tall dude with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. He immediately twisted his head around to meet my eyes. I recognized him from seeing him in the hallways now and then.
"Yeah?"
"Do you know the bi-, uh excuse me, I mean women in the front office?" I asked, correcting myself before I said something unladylike.
"Oh, those wrinkly old fuckers, yeah I do. What about them?" The words came out his mouth so naturally that I knew he must have had a bad experience with them also.
"Oh, nothing. Thank you,"
"Okay." he strolled away.
"Do you see my point?" I looked at John, who seemed to have not been paying attention. His eyes were darted toward Jessica, typical popular girl.
Although, not so typical was that she wasn't all that mean. She was honestly really nice and I don't think anyone could say anything bad about her that was true. She wasn't a snubby, mean popluar girl. However, most of the girls in our school wanted to be her or at least be friends with her. No one admitted it, but I knew it was true. This included me.
She had jet black silky hair that glided down her back, eyes as gold as the richest piece that ever existed and even some declared they changed color in certain seasons. Her silhouette was shaped exactly like an hour glass with shape and curves. She wore glasses now and then depending, which gave her a sexy feel.
In contrast with her olive smooth skin, I had more of a caramel color to my appearance. Dark brown boring eyes, absolutely no curves, just a straight stick body and unruly eyebrows. I wore glasses too but I doubt I looked sexy in them; more so nerdish. I was proud of my curly hair I had worked so hard to grow out, though. Although, it still got frizzy and sometimes claimed to be untamed. I hated comparing myself to her but she was too pretty to ignore.
