The hard surface under my bottom gave my butt an ache. Shifting now and then to comfort myself, I search the room. Various students bubbling answers on the scantron, looking confused as ever and falling asleep. I couldn't help but laugh a little at the lack of concentration in the room.

Making accidental eye contact with the teacher, she shifts her eyes down to my test indicating I should continue.

I knew absolutely nothing on this god forsaking paper. I wasn't even in the mood to attempt the test. I stared at the page for five minutes before letting my mind drift off to other topics.

Turns out John had a class with Jessica. Awesome. He barely even said bye to me, he was so engrossed in paying attention to her. Jealousy rushed over me and I shifted again in my seat, resulting in a fart like noise to escape.

My eyes widened, hoping no one heard it. Even though I was in high school, students were still immature and incapable of thinking properly.

This is a college class though, maybe no one will notice. The fact that I cared about what people might think showed that I was not only insecure but a little immature myself.

A kid, by the name of Xavier, looked at me from the corner of his eye. Unconsciously, I say, "Sorry, it was the chair,"

"Sure," he raised an eyebrow, clearly showing me he didn't believe the words that left my mouth.

I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at him for a few seconds. Xavier, smartest teen boy within this class, had the most irritating attitude I've ever witnessed. He's so certain hes better than everyone else. Xavier isn't even discrete about it, he will tell it to your face. I think that's the only trait I actually admire; he doesn't speak behind anyone's back, he will tell you himself.

Without thinking of the consequences, I whisper, "Nerd," for no apparent reason.

Frankly, I didn't care that he was a nerd, but he was snobby about it. And that got on my nerves. Plus, he knew very well no one liked his actions, but still continued to be a brat.

"What did you just call me?" He snared, now fully facing me.

"Did I stutter?" I ask, smirking. He was certainly getting irritated and shamefully, I was enjoying it. This battering wasn't new for us. It was a constant thing.

"You have n-" Cutting him off, I raise my hand. Wanting him to think I was going to rat him out for talking during a test. "What do you think you're doing?" When I didn't answer he urged again. "Hey, come on, please." grabbing my arm, he begs.

My smile stretched across my face, probably making me resemble the Joker.

"Uh, don't touch me, please," I snatch my arm away from him. I was starting to feel sorry for him. He looked as if he was about to shed a tear.

You are so mean.

"Ugh," I grunt softly.

Just as I was going to put my hand down, the teacher calls on me.

Uh oh...

"Yes, Tatiana," her croaky voice illuminates the class, resulting in almost everyone to turn and look in my direction.

Feeling a blush arise, I glance over at Xavier. Basically pleading with his eyes, he stares back at me.

"...Can I go to the bathroom?" I ask, coming up with an alternative excuse. I heard a sigh escape Xavier's lips.
