Yoongi isn't sure if he portrays the villain or the protagonist in his story. The fresh manipulative self of him, that he discovered simply months ago, paints him a red, red hero, while his older, conscious mind screams obscenities at the way he is progressing with Namjoon.
It's true that the result of all this will end with the three of them in shambles, and Yoongi is certain of Hoseok receiving the hardest of the blows. The kid is actually good at heart and completely not at fault, he realizes, and he almost feels guilty for dragging him into a fight between two lovers who never were certain of why they really fell apart.
But all this wouldn't have happened if Namjoon had simply stayed. These extensive hours spent scouring through every scrap of information only to find out about Hoseok, wouldn't have happened if Yoongi wasn't diagnosed, at the worst timing of all, with his psychosis right after Mrs. Kim's untimely death.
Yoongi is sorry for all that fate has brought them, and he knows every action will have consequences. But when your heart is stuck in past and your brain has no option but to follow it, what power does your conscience have over your mind to stop it?
