The morning sunlight slits through the blue curtains, and Yoongi's face illumines under it, the puffy cheeks pulling out a soft pout on his sleeping lips, with Namjoon's throat hitching with a breathe he forgets to let out at the sight he never really forgot. Namjoon savors it, the hum of Yoongi's breathe languidly whooshing in and out of him, the dust of pink tinting the ivory skin. It's been so long, but he still feels his heart shuddering in its cage and he wants to forget all that happened in the past year and simply lie with Yoongi in the bed watching his one true love sleep till all the light in the world fades away.
His heart constricts with a pain and longing he had buried in the deep recesses of his heart, and Namjoon is not sure if it's right to feel this way about his ex when Hoseok is oblivious in their bed, his face snuggled into the pillow in that adorable manner. The red haired boy, who made his feelings go all awry by the second month into their friendship, would suffer badly however all this turns out, and Namjoon could cry with the guilt that builds up inside him, right this moment, because he's the one who started the fire.
The bedside clock blinks at 6:15 and the warmth of their tangled bodies prick Namjoon's conscience. Soon he slips out of the bed, leaving an unperturbed Yoongi grasping onto the thin air in the bed, and his hands pick up the lone notepad in the bedside drawer, for Namjoon knows only by penning it down will he be able to give Yoongi the closure he deserves.
