It surprises Hoseok moreover than he would ever admit when he sees the same cold, cold face on a Wednesday evening, instead of morning, asking for his usual order. Except his hair isn't the same shade of blue anymore.
"Has your dark soul invaded your hair as well?" But he cannot help himself peeking from behind the mixer machine to get a proper look at Yoongi, for suddenly; the dark blue just suits him so much better.
"I get it, you hate me. There's no need to expressively voice it out." The reply comes out a little hurt and the barista cannot help but notice the slight dusting of pink on the boy's cheeks.
"No, shi- I mean, I didn't mean it that way. You look good in this color." Yoongi perks his head up at this. "It's just that the baby blue reminded me of someone who is incapable of hating sugar, and now you just seem like the type of person to actually order extra black Americano and drink them without cringing."
"Very observant, aren't we now?" Yoongi's lips stretch themselves into a small smile before impatiently gesturing his hand for the drink.
"Right. Sorry." Hoseok places the cup on the counter and offers his usual smile to Yoongi, that the latter has always vehemently ignored but notices it for the first time today. He grabs the warm cup and places the bill on the counter-top before slipping in a, "You look cute when you smile," and leaving a cherry-cheeked Hoseok scrabbling around to not make it obvious how much the compliment affected him.
Yoongi steps away from there and winks, saluting with the cup in his hands, and swings out of the warm, warm shop.
"Step two, complete."
