Today was Saturday, so I visited my mom in the hospital. They said that the crash had caused her head to smash into the windshield, giving her several brain injuries and knocking her out cold. She was still unconscious when I saw her. They said that with the help of the right care and medication, she would most likely be better in a few days. I was so relieved. I called Luke and told him.
Oh, and speaking of Luke...I guess we're a "thing" now. I never expected any of this to happen, but I really love him, and I know he loves me too. I could tell by the way he held me that night when I got the news about my mother.
But now, I had to figure out how I was going to pay off the hospital bills and the cost of repairing my mom's car. As it is, we're barely getting by on the little amount of money we have now. Our only source of income is the things my mother inherited from my grandfather when he passed away. See, my grandfather was the CEO of a huge auto company, so he was actually quite wealthy. When he died, my mother inherited all of his belongings and money. But this accident has put an even bigger burden on our financial problems. I had no choice but to get a job.
