Mary walked to the cabin because it was around a 30-minute walk. She went to the cabin and she opened the door. The cabin was pitch black and there was barely any electricity used so it was difficult. "Hello Mackenzie, Jane, anybody in here?" She asked nervously. No answer. She went further in and then she found an envelope. She didn't open the envelope there, she thought it was best to open it when she went home. She ran all the way to her house. When she went home, she stared at the envelope and inspected it to see if she should open it or not. The envelope had a bump in it. She thought it was very important.
After a while of staring, she finally decided to open it. She slowly started to open the envelope, gentle rip by rip. What she found was a blue flash drive. She examined the USB drive. Nothing peculiar about it. She did not want to put that thing in her brand new laptop. She got her old laptop and she gently put the memory pen in.
On the memory pen was a word document. She clicked on the word document and what the word said was something very similar to the first letter.
"Mary sweetie you in there?" Her mom came in the door. She quickly took out the USB and shut the laptop before her mom had a chance to come in.
"Yes mom."
"Okay, just checking if you're alright."
She quickly opened her laptop back up injecting the flash drive in. She read it. The word document said.
Hello there Mary, Jane and me really miss you but we of course can not tell you where we are. We just wanted to remind you that you mean so much to us and we wish we can see you again, but we can't right now. To find the next clue, go to the place where we first met at the exact same area. Love you, Mackenzie
Well this was easier than expected for Mary because they met at the first day of high school.
