Chapter One: The Demons I Live With

Cooper's POV:

"Ugh, shut up already you blasphemous overused piece of machinery" I groan as I hear my alarm clock beside my dresser ring obnoxiously to wake me up, at 4:30 AM. If you are wondering why I have to wake up at 4:30 AM, it is because I am the weakest in my pack; I am the omega of the strongest and most feared pack in the world, the Silver Blood Pack. Being the omega means you are the weak link in the group, what holds everyone else back, because of this, and other reasons, people hate me. From repeating beatings and torture that it is better just to keep quiet and not fight back at this point.

Let me give a little background about myself: I'm Cooper James Hughes, I just turned 18 a week ago, 5'10 (surprisingly tall for an omega, I know), brown eyes that were once full of life, dark curly brown hair that is almost dark enough to pass as black, 150 pounds, the youngest child of three and no parents. Even within the omegas of our pack I am considered abnormal and been out-casted, I'm significantly taller than the average omega, I weigh more, I have more muscles than them even though they are all on my legs because my arms look like sticks, and I have darker features rather than the up-bright blonde, blue-eyed omega. My body gets even weirder, my wolf, Axel, is exceptionally abnormal; he has a royal purple coat with dark ruby red eyes. Whenever I shift, he is always whining about how uncomfortable he is for some reason.

When I first shifted I was alone; nobody was there to help me, not my two older brothers, my parents died in a rouge attack when I was 5, or anyone in my pack. My two older brothers, Jordan who is 22 standing at 6'3, spiky black hair with icy blue eyes, my eldest brother is Victor; he is 25 with blonde hair that falls to his shoulders and green eye and also is the Beta of the pack. They both have natural muscles to compliment their height, not too much where they look like they live in the gym; enough muscle to where they are sure to win a fight against two warrior wolves alone. This is one reason why people hate me, I killed the best Betas this pack has ever had, and on top of it, I am an omega.

I never told my brothers about my wolf, they've regularly beaten me, insult me, and found various ways to hurt me emotionally, physically, mentally, and psychologically. The night after I shifted I went to the library and grabbed a few books under the history of wolves, I read through pages and found nothing. When I got to the different type of wolves I was saddened to learn there was no wolf ever recorded to have purple fur and red eyes. However, when I flipped the page, I noticed there was a page ripped out of the book but on the next page it said: "History shall never know about this monstrosity of destruction, for his rise could very well be the end of us all."

I get out of my daydream and prepare for my mourning routine, pain and suffering. Just kidding, even though torture would be easier to deal with than what I have to do,  clean the pack house, well it is honestly a mansion considering it comfortably holds 400 wolves with vacant rooms still and then I have to cook for everyone. Preparing food for 400 starving wolves is hard enough, but cooking for the pups who have yet to acquire wolves, so they are more prone to diseases, illnesses, or allergies, makes it even harder.
