Chapter Five: The Not-So-Holy Trinity

Cooper's POV:

"Ugh, what happened..." I groaned as I woke up, wait, where am I?! I was quickly answered by Axel, "In the hospital, west wing of the palace" okay I know where I am, but why am I here? "You are here because you passed out after you learned who you really are" oh yeah, now I remember. How come I cannot use my alleged powers or feel them? I was about to ask Axel a stream of questions but Derick, Amile, and Morgana entered the room before I could. "Hey Morgana, when did you arrive?" I asked she looked at me like I had asked a stupid question. I raised an eyebrow to show my confusion, she responded with "You really do not know what happened, do you?" I shook my head. "Well, after you learned who you were Axel came out and explained why we could only feel the presence of the Price of Darkness; he said that both him and Gabriel discussed who would be the host of your body, they knew if you heard two different consciousness that you would go insane or become afraid of yourself. They agreed that Gabriel would sleep until you found out who you truly are, which you have now. Before you ask what happens next, we are going to ask Axel to awaken Gabriel so you can have control to all of your abilities. Because you have not practiced magic or had control of both your angel and demon blood, you cannot perform magic without Axel and Gabriel." Well, she answered all the questions I had.

I was curious as to how we awaken a whole other part of my being, does it require my subconscious as well? Axel eased my mind by saying all I have to do is relax and don't fight it, as I was curious as what there was to fight. I was soon answered by a searing pain erupting through my body, I screamed out in pain as the pain kept escalating as if someone had a remote and kept turning up the pain level. Tears ran down my eyes as I finally felt something inside of me split, soon after I heard another voice, a deep yet gentle voice. "AXEL, WE SAID WE WOULD SHARE! NOT YOU TAKE OVER AND KEEP MY ASLEEP FOR ALMOST 18 YEARS. " My ears started to ring after Gabriel yelled at Axel "Oh yes, let me properly introduce myself, I am Gabriel, Prince of Light. "

I asked them one more question before I went to tell the three musketeers Gabriel is back, "If I am the Prince of Light and Darkness, then how come I have never used my powers or felt them?" I asked. "Well, I have kept my demon powers dormant so you would not accidentally kill someone. Gabriel's has also been dormant due to his little 'nap' he took." Axel responded. "Right now we are still fairly weak, I have never used my powers before and neither has Axel" Gabriel responded.

I informed Morgana, Derick, and Amile all looked at me full of curiosity, I told them that Gabriel had finally awoken, but they were curious about what happened to my eyes. When I asked what happened, they summoned a small mirror and OH. MY. GOD.
