"It's not like they put the floor numbers on the outside of the building!"

Third person's point of view.

Pierce meets the World Security Council as they arrive at the Triskelion, "And how was your flight?" Pierce asks the three members, "Lovely. The ride from the airport less so." Councilmember#1 said, "Sadly, SHIELD can't control everything." Pierce said with a slight smirk, "Including Captain America." Councilman Rockwell said,

Pierce walks over to one of the guards who hands him a case containing four pins, "This facility is biometrically controlled, and these will give you unrestricted access." the council members each take a pin to wear, the woman Councilmen pins the clip to her purse strap, before following the others.

Getting into the building was easy, commandeering the communications even more so.

Addressing the World Security Council members, Pierce is pouring glasses of champagne. "I know the road hasn't exactly been smooth, and some of you would have gladly kicked me out of the car along the way. Finally we're here, and the world should be grateful." as they start drinking to Pierce's toast,

Suddenly they hear Steve over the S.H.I.E.L.D microphone that everyone in the building can hear, "Attention, all SHIELD agents. This is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt me down." Steve had paused quickly going over the outcomes of this in his mind, before deciding and continuing his speech,

"But I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building." there was another pause as he took a breath.

"They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high, it always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay." Steve says,

"And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not." Sam stepped over to Steve and smirked, "Did you write that down first or was it off the top of your head?" Steve shrugged and then they left to get to their assigned ships.

"You smug son of a bitch." Rockwell hissed, "Arrest him." Singh orders to the two agents that walked into the room, but the HYDRA agent points his gun at Singh, "I guess I've got the floor." Pierce watches from the window the commotion caused by Steve and Sam trying to stop the Helicarriers launching, he turns to Singh,

"Let me ask you a question. What if Pakistan marched into Mumbai tomorrow, and you knew that they were gonna drag your daughters into a soccer stadium for execution?" Pierce hands Singh a glass of champagne, "And you could just stop it with a flick of the switch. Wouldn't you? Wouldn't you all?"

Singh takes the drink, "Not if it was your switch." then tosses the glass aside, one of the HYDRA agents hands Pierce his gun and Pierce points it at Singh, suddenly Hawley kicks Singh away, then takes down the other HYDRA agents in the room before taking the gun and pointing at Pierce, she then removes her disguise to reveal it's Green Arrow.

Her face and voice hidden as she tares away her thick pantsuit to show off her Green Arrow suit, drawing out her small crossbow she aims at Pierce, "I'm sorry. Did I step on your moment?" Arrow says.

It was a few minutes later and Arrow stood at one of the mainframe computers typing in codes to disable the encryptions that take two Alpha Level members, Pierce moving towards her, she kept her hand near her crossbow for quick access. "Disabling the encryption is an executive order, it takes two Alpha Level members." Arrow smiled.

"Don't worry, company's coming." just then a helicopter appears outside, lands and Fury steps out to enter the building to Pierce's surprise. Fury stands in the door the wind blowing his long coat menacingly, before he comes into the room, "Did you get my flowers?" Fury looks at him coldly, "I'm glad you're here, Nick." Pierce says but Arrow can't tell if it's sincere,

"Really? Cause I thought you had me killed." Fury said standing across for Pierce, "You know how the game works." Fury frowned, "So why make me head of S.H.I.E.L.D?" "Cause you were the best and the most ruthless person I ever met." Pierce said unhesitantly. "I did what I did to protect people." Fury growled out.

"Our enemies are your enemies, Nick. Disorder, war. It's just a matter of time before a dirty bomb goes off in Moscow, or an EMP fries Chicago. Diplomacy? Holding action, a band-aid. And you know where I learned that; Bogota. You didn't ask, you just did what had to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion people by sacrificing twenty million." Pierce says,

He sounds like he's trying to justify himself, it's pathetic, "It's the next step, Nick, if you have the courage to take it." Fury glared, "No, I have the courage not to." Fury takes Pierce to the retinal scanner with Arrow pointing her crossbow at him. "Retinal scanner active." the computer announced,

"You don't you think we wiped your clearance from the system?" Pierce snooted, trying to stall for time, "I know you erased my password, probably deleted my retinal scan, but if you want to stay ahead of me, Mr. Secretary..." Fury removes his eyepatch to reveal his scarred dead eye, "You need to keep both eyes open."

They both look into the retinal scanner with Fury using his dead eye, "Alpha Level confirmed. Encryption code accepted. Safeguards removed."

"Done." Arrow says finishing with the computer before she looks at her mobile device, "And it's trending." Just then Pierce sets off the pins he gave the council members, causing it to burn deeply into their sternum, Arrow and Fury point their weapons at Pierce, turns to Arrow, "Unless you want a two-inch hole in your sternum, I'd put that crossbow down."

Lorcan smirks, "I'm not wearing one." Pierce looks to where her pin is on the purse she was suing and curses, dropping his device, Arrow cold clocks him and he's out for the next long while.

"I'm on forty-one, headed towards the south-west stairwell," Rumlow says just as Sam attacks him but Rumlow manages to knock Sam down, "This is gonna hurt. There are no prisoners with HYDRA, just order. And order only comes through pain. You ready for yours?" Sam frowns as he gets up, "Man, shut the hell up." they both go to attack each other.

Suddenly Pierce is up and aiming a dropped gun at Fury, Green Arrow seeing this pulls Fury out of the way, and take the shot to the side, her falling distracts Pierce which gives Fury a chance to shoot Pierce, which he does so twice, Fury then walks over to Arrow who is lying unconscious on the floor.

"Green Arrow! Lorcan! Lorcan, come on!" Arrow opens her eyes, "Ow! Oh, I fucking hate you." she groans and he pulls her up as she plucks the bullet from her suit which didn't even break skin. As the Helicarriers continue to destroy each other Pierce lies on the floor and says with his last dying breath, "Hail HYDRA."

Just then one Helicarrier crashes into a dam beneath the Triskelion, as the Helicarrier continues to fall with Cap and Winter Soldier inside, at the Triskelion Sam and Rumlow continue to fight each other, "You're out of your depth, kid." suddenly the first Helicarrier crashes into the Triskelion, catching Rumlow in the destruction.

"Please, tell me you got that chopper in the air!" Sam shouts to Arrow through his communications link, as he's sprinting. "Sam, where are you?" Arrow shouts, "41st floor, north-west corner!" Arrow moves the chopper towards Sam's location, "We're on it, stay where you are."

Sam desperately tries to get away from the destruction the Helicarrier is causing to the building, "Not an option!" as the building is being destroyed Sam jumps out of the window as Arrow and Fury fly their chopper barely in time to catch him, "41st floor! 41st!" Sam complains as Arrow pulls him back in from almost falling out,

"It's not like they put the floor numbers on the outside of the building!" Fury yelled back, "Hill, where's Steve? You got a location on Rogers?" Arrow called while the guys argued.
