Third person's point of view.

Lorcan goes to the hospital and meets up with Steve, they watch doctors operating on Fury, "Is he gonna make it?" she asked, unsure of how she feels about him, as someone who was pulled into this life she hates Nick for it but as a human being she's also worried, therein lies the confliction.

"I don't know." Steve says and Lorcan changes the topic a bit, "Tell me about the shooter." she asks, "He's fast and strong. Had a metal arm." Lorcan frowns, she remembers running into someone like that a few years ago, and is deep in thought as Agent Hill also joins them, "Ballistics?" she asks, "Three slugs, no rifling. Completely untraceable." Hill says,

"Soviet-made." Lorcan confirms, "Yeah." suddenly they watch in shock as Fury's state deteriorates, the three of them watch as the doctors and nurses do everything they can to save Nick but it doesn't work and they called time of death at 1:03 in the afternoon.

Lorcan and Steve are in a room where Fury's dead body has been laid out, Lorcan pats Fury's hand before Hill joins them, "I need to take him." Hill says sadly, Steve goes over to Lorcan, "Lorry," Lorcan looks at Steve, "Nat's going to be pissed." Steve gave her a tip-lipped smile nodded, Lorcan then turns and walks out, Steve follows her.

"Why was Fury in your apartment?" she asks, and he shrugs, "I don't know." They are interrupted by Rumlow, "Cap, they want you back at SHIELD." Steve nods, "Yeah, give me a second." but Rumlow is being very anal about Steve leaving now, "They want you now." Steve nods and waves him off, "Okay."

Steve turns to Lorcan, "You're a terrible liar." she turns and walks off, Rumlow taps his earpiece and nods while talking to the one communicating to him, "I told him." Steve notices the vending machine next to him, we then see Steve walking towards Rumlow.

"Let's go." Steve says walking up to Rumlow, "Yeah." Rumlow nods then turns to the agents, "STRIKE, move it out." as they leave, Steve has hid the flash drive behind a pack of gums in the vending machine.

Disguised as a civilian dressed in a hoody, Steve goes back to the hospital to retrieve the flash drive from the vending machine but sees it's gone, then Lorcan appears behind him chewing some gum, in anger Steve pushes her into a room, "Where is it?" he snaps, "Hey, ease off. I'm trying to help." she snapped back, "Sorry," he grumbled,

"Why did Fury give it to you? Does he not trust SHIELD anymore?" she asked but it wasn't to him, she was talking to herself trying to think up theories to Fury's actions, "Did you know that Fury hired the pirates." he told her and she nodded, "Well, it makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you."

Steve frowned, "I know who killed Fury. Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists, the ones who do call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last fifty years." she explained, and looked quite distressed, "So he's a ghost story." Steve guessed,

Lorcan shrugged, "Few years after I left the army I did little jobs here and there for SHIELD, one of them involved an engineer I had to get him to a safe house, but we were shot off the rode. The shooter killed my mark by shooting through me, but it didn't stop me from finding him and getting in a few good hits myself."

"Oh," Steve sighed out, "I spent whatever free time I had looking for him, something in his eyes said he needed help, and that's what I plan to do." she finished while holding up the flash drive, "But like you said, he's a ghost story. So it won't be easy and I'll have my work cut out for me." Steve takes the flash drive from her.
