Please read the dedication chapter if you are wondering what the schedule is for my stories.
And I wrote this chapter in the middle of the night, so don't expect too much of it, or for it to be too long.

Harper let the towel fall to the floor so that she could start dressing. She put on a matching bra and panties, and started looking through her wardrobe for a shirt and pants. She had just eaten breakfast just before she went in there.
She put on a black backless tank top and ripped blue jeans, and started tying the laces to her knee-high leather boots. Before she went out, she pulled on her white bulky coat and tugged on a black beanie to match the rest of her outfit. Harper left her phone on the kitchen counter, not needing it. She twisted the doorknob to the outside, and opened the door just enough for her to slip out without letting all of the winter air in. Her cheeks reddened a little in the cold, and her emotions blurred as her depression kicked in. It spread over her like a wave, leaving her as a cold husk of a human. No emotions to rely on. She walked down the stairs of her porch and stuffed her freezing hands into her pockets.
The road that led into the town was rocky, and bumpy enough to give any drivers a hard time while driving to the country estates that went around the perimeter of the town. She never bothered with bikes or cars, they were just a waste of time and money to her, when she could just walk the short distance. The road was clean of snow, since the town wouldn't want the richest people in the area to just move on to another place instead of buying their items. Harper picked up her pace as she reached the end, the cold starting to give her a little frostbite on the tip of her nose. That was the only thing she felt; the cold and the last sliver of heat that occupied her torso.
Even as the town's buildings, stores and houses spread before her, she still felt that empty hole where her emotions were supposed to occupy.

LIAM'S POV
Liam walked down the sidewalk to the coffee place down the street, since he hadn't bought many groceries yet. Or found the grocery store, for that matter. Not many people passed him as he walked, most of them in cars driving down the road beside him. He looked for any stores that interested him as he passed by their windows. His eyes scanned the displayed products, but he came up empty in the end. Liam also looked for the girl that called herself Harper Lucas. He pulled his coat closer to him, but the cold remained.
Stupid winter.
He was about to look into a window of another shop when he saw her. Her dark brown hair her sea green eyes gave away who she was. He quickly realized why her parents gave her a name that beautiful and unique. It was a perfect match for her features. She was across the street from him, in a large coat and beanie that matched with the rest of her clothes. Liam only stared at her for a few seconds before continuing to look in the windows of the shops. The coffee shop wasn't very far away now.

HARPER'S POV
Harper looked at Liam Grayson for a second, the memories of what she learned about him this morning rushing back. It was strange, how the depression didn't make the emotional memories fade away when it kicked in. Her face was clear of emotion along with her eyes. No life or happiness. Hollow. And her mother had to go through this torture since she was a baby until her late years in life. She hadn't thought about that. That her mother could have just killed herself because the depression got too intense. That it just took away her will to live. Harper has already lose hope for a better world and a better life, unlike Liam. They were so different. But the same in every way.
She didn't have time to glance at him again before he disappeared into a coffee shop.
Little did he know, that the employees there were known for their clumsiness and
air-headedness around customers. Harper shook the thought off and walked faster the rest of the way to the bookstore.

LIAM'S POV
There was no sign of Harper as he walked out of the coffee shop, just coming back from falling waiters and waitresses. Liam was surprised that they hadn't been fired yet. Or at least given less slippery shoes. He still looked for Harper as he walked back to his house. Liam had looked around the tree she had told him about, but found nothing except a noose with dried blood on it. Did someone hang themselves? If so, what did that have to do with Harper? Questions filled his mind, and distracted him enough that he almost ran into a pole. Liam pulled his phone out of his pocket, and called someone. Someone that would give him information on Harper Lucas.

HARPER'S POV
She sorted through the titles of the books, and asked herself why she would even bother trying to come to this place. The romance novels were crap, and so were the historical ones, with their wrong information and gossip. So utterly useless. Harper was looking through the fantasy novels, the only ones that seemed good here.
But she came up empty.

Hello! I hope you liked this new chapter! Even if I was extremely sleepy. Remember to comment on my stories, because I need that kind of stuff to improve my stories and writing. This is very important to me, and I wish that I was better at it. I've been doing it for two years now, but I still feel like I suck at it. Anyways. I'll see you in the next chapter, Buh Bye!
