The person up there is Phillip Anderson. The youngest and 21 year old son at of Leo Anderson, the president of a big company in North America. He has three older brothers, and one sister. He met Harper's father at a business meeting and has been partners ever since. Short A/N at end of chapter.

Harper watched as her father glanced at Phillip and then her. His gaze lingered on her face for a few seconds before it went back to Phillip. She pursed her lips as he sat beside her on the couch.
"Harper... I know I haven't been a good father to you all of these years, and I'm sorry. But I know you would want to leave this place. I know you wouldn't let anybody help you if you needed it, either. So, I decided to make an attempt to be a father to you. I want you to come with me and my business." He said, meeting her eyes. Business? She raised an eyebrow. "Phillip here is my business partner. He's one of the sons of Leo Anderson. Harper, I'm asking you to come with me and travel the world, I don't want to leave my daughter alone anymore." His words struck home. A wave of calm washed over her, her emotions leaving an emotionless husk in its wake. And Harper's father could tell, giving that he had been married to her mother. "Harper... Are you okay?" He whispered, pity in his eyes. Phillip looked over worriedly. "I'm fine, father." Her voice was without any emotion, and made her father's partner to walk over to sit on the ottoman. "Derek, get to the point." A scowl graced his face. Her father nodded, not taking his eyes off of his daughter. "What I'm really asking is, are you willing to leave you're life here and create a new life further away, where we can get you help." Hope flashed across his features. "I don't need help. I'm perfectly fine here. If you wanted to be a good father, you would've done it a long time ago, Derek Lucas." She could tell that she had hurt him, but she couldn't care less. Harper rose, and strode out of the house, leaving a wide eyed father behind.

Harper knocked on the door, slowly realizing that this was a terrible idea. But she just needed someone to talk to. Someone that would understand her situation at least a little bit. And that happened to be Liam.
He opened the door, eyes widening as he saw her. "Harper–"
"I need someone to talk to." Her voice shook. The sign that she knew that her depression was eating away at her emotions, until she was a husk. Broken. Worthless. A burden to everyone close to her. The thoughts bombarded her usual thoughts, chasing them away. Making every cheerful thought turn into a sad one. This was her life. Just... living with no purpose. She was an emotionless husk, a great ship that is riddled with holes in a stormy sea. The holes just keep on getting larger until the ship is at the bottom of the ocean.
"Come in, then. I wouldn't want you to get a cold." Liam pulled her away from her thoughts. A temporary rock in her stormy sea. If he knew how bad she had it, he wouldn't be anywhere near her, in fear of being sucked into her emotionless whirlpool, spiralling down into the darkness until Liam and Harper were no more. She nodded, stepping into the threshold. Liam guided her to the couch, turning towards her. "What did you want to talk about?" He asked, meeting her eyes. "Well... my father wants to take me away on his business travels. He says he'll be a better father, but I'm not so sure. He'll just leave me alone again, but this time, I won't have a mother to rely on." I explained, averting my gaze. "What happens if you don't go with him?" He asked, trying to get a better explanation. "I don't know. He might take the house away, he might take me anyways, or he might just give me a disappointed look and disown me. There's infinite possibilities. I need your help." Harper looked him in the eyes again. "Harper, I would advise that you do what makes you the most happy. If you want to travel the world, go with your father, but, if you feel happier here, don't go with him. If he really loves you, he would respect your decision, and leave you alone. I would doubt that he would offer that if he didn't love you. So, choose what makes you happy." He smiled. "I– you don't get it... I can't be happy." She said softly.
"You can't be happy because you don't allow yourself to, Harper." Liam put a hand on her shoulder. "I– I should go. I've made up my mind." She stood, offering Liam a small smile before walking out of the house.

By the way, I'm bringing back Daggers & Knives soon, so if you like that book, I'm taking it off hold, so watch out for that! I know that I have loads of books to get started on, and that was a mistake on my part. Anyway, I'll see you in the next chapter, good bye!)
