Alyssa's POV

I roasted the rabbit that Sam had caught while Kiara boiled some potatoes in a pot that she was carrying in her very small bag. Amara and Sam were talking in low voices. Ali was nowhere to be seen and she guessed that was good after that talk they had. Amara came towards me and I smiled at her which she replied back politely. "So is it true that you don't remember anything?" she asked "Yes" I replied.

"What were my relations with all of you?" I ask "I really want to know"

"Well we are all your most trusted friends" Kiara said " We- we were like family" she said looking up from her work, the fire reflecting the sadness in her brown eyes. Amara reached over and touched her shoulder in such a comforting way it looked extremely sister like. Sam sat beside me and looked at the fire as if expecting it to do a trick. "We are the leaders of a organization that you started" he said but winced at the sight of both Amara and Kiara glaring daggers into him.

Thankfully the killing looks were subdued when Ali came stumbling out from the woods. "We need to get out of here. Now" he said and none of them argued. Sam put the food into some bag and put the fire out. I heard the sounds of festivities from the north and wondered what was going on. "What is following us?" Kiara asked, "Makdi" Amara said. Sam winced and protectively took Kiara's hand to which I raised my eyebrow at them. Kiara's face flushed as she batted his hand away and fixed her glasses. "We need to move and move quietly if the makdi hear us, we are dead" Ali said.

Oh fun.

I ran next to Amara who was struggling to keep up. She was rather short and her unkept hair was not helping with the uncooperative wind. I grabbed her hand and literally dragged her forward which seemed fine with her. Ali stopped suddenly, his eyes ice blue with a hint of violet. "Ali" I asked with a small voice. He whispered something to Sam, to which Sam whispered back in an annoyed tone. Ali's eyes became blood red which was scary and amazing at the same time. Sam's face showed no sign of terror but only mild annoyance as he reluctantly whispered back in an annoyed but accepted voice. Amara armed to already know what was happening because she was the one to grab my hand and drag me forward, which was rather funny seeing how I was taller and stronger. "You all know where to go" Ali said "The village is only a mile away and the people there owe Alyssa" he said looking towards me. I frowned and said "What about you?" his eyes turned from red to pink to brown.

He smiled and pecked my cheek before he pulled a good over his head concealing his eyes and taking out his killer stick. "I have an appointment" he said and ran off not noticing the flush on my face.
