"Come on Jamie. Push!" i pushed hard and then i heard it. the faint cry of my baby boy. That night that me and Leland did it. yeah well this is the outcome. i missed him and when we were friends he always said he wanted a big family. they handed me my baby boy. he was born at 1:24 am on March 24. i smiled at the little boy in my arms. "My little man." my family weren't in the room because they don't know. i kinda went MIA. the doctor looked at me. "What's this little ones name." i smiled. "His name is Dakota Ross Chapman." the doctor smiled. "That's a beautiful name. you're actually allowed to leave if you want." i nodded and got changed and headed to my house with my baby boy. i got a text.
DL😝: So what are you up to?
Jamie😜: Ask your brother what happened 9 months ago at our family camp thing and maybe it'll click
with that i left it alone and started to raise my baby all by myself.
Duane Lee's POV
What the hell? what was she talking about? i just asked what was up and she came with a snarky remark. someone pissed her off. i went to call her but it said the number was off. she changed her number. i looked at Leland. "what'd you do to Jamie when we had that camping trip?" he turned white. oh shit. "Nothing we did our usual stuff." "Bull shit Leland. i tried texting her to see what she was doing and she came back by saying ask your little brother what happened 9 months ago today at the camping trip." that's when it clicked in my head. she had a baby and didn't want him to know. it was his baby. she lost her virginity to him. i stood up and left. "Where are you going." "None of your business Leland and tell dad i'm gonna be gone for awhile." with that i left to Colorado.
The next day i got out of the hotel i was staying in and headed to her house. i had to pull some strings to find out that she had bought her own house and where it was. i headed there and knew she kept the key under the matt but i knew her to well. she would keep it under the rock out of the ordinary. she learned to much and she's still so young. i opened the door and went in. i looked around and saw that thus place wasn't that far from our place here in Colorado. i smiled knowing she didn't want to be to far from home. i looked around and smiled. this place was nice. I looked down stairs when i heard a thud. i ran upstairs and saw her on a bed with a baby in her arms. i leaned against the door frame. "Never thought i'd see this so soon." she jumped a little. "You figured it out. wait is he?" i shook my head and went to sit on the bed. "No he doesn't know. i went to ask him and he was oblivious. it took a minute to comprehend it and then i immediately came here. i wanted to see my niece or nephew." she smiled and was handing me the small baby. "This is Dakota Ross Chapman. he should at least have his last name. he was born at 1:24 am on March 24." i smiled. "You know he'll find out." she looked horrified. "Not if i can't help it. I don't want him to find out. i'm scared of what he thinks. but you need to leave." i nodded and left. Leland did damage to her that he can fix and no one else. she loves him. i can tell but he did something. but what?
