Four: i'm staying. no matter what

Leland's POV

               Me and Dakota had a very eventful day. we went out to eat for lunch. went to get him some video games and even went to the park. it was 6:00 when we got to the house. i parked the truck and turned to see him. he looked sad. "What's up bud?" he looked at me and i saw tears in his eyes. "I don't want you to leave Daddy." i frowned. he was right. Jamie would probably make me leave and we wouldn't see each other again. "No. i won't leave. i promise." that's when i got an idea. "You know what. when we get inside i want you to go to your room and pack a few bags. you and mommy are gonna live with me." he beamed up and smiled. I chuckled and helped him out. he's only 3. we got inside and he went somewhere. "Don't run kota!" he didn't listen. i headed up stairs and started looking for Jamie. i went to a room that had it's door open and saw her sleeping. she didn't have a wig on. i smiled. she was beautiful. all of her. she just had to realize it herself. i sat on the bed and waited for her to wake up. 20 minutes later she stirred and sat up. she looked at me and smiled then realized that i was there. "Don't freak out. Duane Lee gave me Dakota for the day. He told me and we saw you at the doctors office. they told me your pregnant since i'm Dakota's father." she nodded. "What are you gonna do now?" i took her hands. "I'm staying. i love you Jamie. and i love our kids. i've loved you since the day i met you. sometimes i think we're meant to be. Jamie i came here with Duane Lee because i missed you and that's when he told me because he had to go and get Dakota. Duane Lee brought him to me and me and Dakota spent the whole day together. he may only be 3 but you raised him right. Now we made another one and you left in the morning. Now it's my turn to speak and say that i'm staying and that i'm not going anywhere. i want you and Dakota to move into my house in Hawaii." i looked at her waiting for her answer and she smiled. she leaned in and kissed me. "Does that answer your question?" i smiled. but she pulled away when her phone rang. "Hello- what!- nonono i'm gonna be busy- with stuff Ali- you can't just- please don't come- fine-  by." she hung up and looked at me. "They don't know." "Know about what?" we looked over and saw Dakota. "Sweetie why don't you go pack a bag. we're gonna stay with Daddy and see grandpa and grandma." he smiled and went to his room. "They don't know about Dakota. i went MIA after i started showing. i had mentioned me being pregnant once and they said it had to be a joke becuase they won't let me have kids. the only person to have kids is the oldest and the youngest. and when i mentioned if i was and if you were the dad they just said that they would have me get an abortion and have me never see you guys ever. they said they only saw you guys as family for the money. they don't care Leland. and these." she showed me her arms. "These were from the abuse they did to me. i was the outsider. i hate it. i'm scared." i pulled her to me and soothed her. "I won't let them get to you or the kids. not ever." my phone rang. "Hello- yeah dad i know- actually can i bring two people- trust me you'll love them- alright. bye." i turned and looked at Jamie. "Well i let you get a bag packed and get dressed i'll help Dakota." she nodded. "You know. we can get my stuff and Dakota's in the back. most of this stuff is from friends. i'll call them and tell them to come and pick it up. or since i know you come here for christmas i cane keep some stuff here." i smiled and nodded. "We'll just keep everything in the truck." she smiled and kissed me. "Ok i know you've seen me naked more then once but you gotta go help your son." i chuckled and when she got up i smacked her ass. "Later."
