Five: I really don't care

We headed to Leland's parents house but before we went there, Leland was so kind by stopping by Starbucks and getting me my favorite drink there. hot apple cinnamon cider. "You know you can take that off." i frowned. "I'm scared. And plus i don't know if a few certain people are gonna say anything." he nodded and we got out of the SUV and the three of us headed up to the Chapman Colorado house hold. it was huge to say the least. i smiled when i entered because i smelled the famous smells i loved. i looked at Leland and he picked up Dakota. he nodded and i went to the kitchen where i saw a 14 year old Lyssa, a 7 year old Cecily, 4 year old Bonnie Jo and a 3 year old Gary Boy. Duane Lee kept me up to date. "Wow i forgot how much i'd missed." Beth turned around as fast as humanly possible and looked at me. she was shocked. Lyssa gawked at me. "Jamie!" Beth came to me and hugged me in a bone crushing hug. "My god sista you look beautiful. damn." i giggled and hugged the kids. "Hey Cecily, Bonnie, and Gary." Beth looked at me. "How do you?" "Duane Lee came over and brought them over to see me." she nodded. Duane Lee came in and looked at me and smiled. he hugged me. "Glad you and Leland figured it out." i smiled. "yeah and we gotta talk about that. you ratted me out." "Hey he deserved to know." "Yeah and i'm glad you told him." Beth looked at me. "Tell Leland what Jamie?" "Wait Jamie?" Dog came in and when he saw me he smiled and hugged me. "It's great to see you again. we need you around more." Leland came in. "Yeah well you will see her more often." the kids were gone out of the room and Dog eyed me, Leland and Duane Lee. "The three of you did something. what?" Duane Lee looked at me. "It starts off with you two so go ahead." i sighed. "Ok, so four, five years ago at the camp trip where i was 15/16 and Leland was 17/18 we snuck off in the woods and well did something." "That something lead to us getting a surprise later on." "I didn't tell him but when Duane Lee texted me and i gave him a snarky remark. well Duane Lee found out about the surprise before Leland." "And now Duane Lee told me and now me and here fixed things a month ago and now here we are." Dog and Beth eyed us. What was the unknown surprise?" before either of us could say anything we heard the voice. "Mommy?" i looked down to see Dakota. i picked him up. "Yeah buba?" He looked at Dog and Beth and then looked at me. "Is that grandpa and grandma?" Leland chuckled. "Yeah little man. it is." Dog looked at us. "You had a kid?" we nodded. "I started showing and i left my family because they said if i got pregnant that they were going to get me an abortion weather i liked it or not. when i mentioned your guy's name to them they said they used you guys for the money. when i found that out i knew i had to leave. last time i had ever talked to them was like an hour ago and i was shocked because i changed my number and didn't give it to anyone. don't believe me? wait til they get here and watch them when i'm around Leland." "Watch who?" i turned around and saw my mom and Dad with Alison and Liam behind them. oh god did i want to kill them. "Nothing." i walked out of the room and went to the living room. Leland was right behind me. "Kota go play with the other kids." Kota got out of my lap and went outside with Gary and played with him. "You know i have a list in my head to kill her." Leland chuckled. "I know. you never liked them. you loved my family. that's why they believe you and not them. we love you. i love you." i smiled and put my head on his shoulder. "What are you guys talking about in here?" My mom, Alison, Liam and dad came in with Duane Lee, Dog, and young blood. Alison squeezed between me and Leland and i looked at him. he shrugged. "So Alison how are you doing?" Young blood tried to keep it off of me. "I'm good. just finished College with a degree in language and i'm about 7 to 8 months pregnant." you could barely tell she was pregnant. "Congrats." i clenched my jaw and Duane Lee knew i was pissed. "You know i think we should watch some tv." "No DL i think we're good. Jamie. what have you accomplished? are you having kids? have a college degree? have a job for sakes? do anything?" i couldn't take it. "Excuse me." i went to the kitchen forgetting that Beth and Ashley, Tim's wife, were in there, and slid down the counter and started crying. "Hunny what's wrong?" Leland came in. "Hey something came in the mail for you Jamie." i stood up and quickly took it. i opened it and read it. it was from my college i went to. it said that i had finally graduated with all the experience i had in the field of law enforcement with bounty hunting. the next paper was my diploma. i smiled and cried harder. Beth took the paper and read it. "You finished law enforcement school in less then 2 years online?" i nodded. "I wanted to get it and still be a bounty hunter and raise Dakota. i had experience so that happened." i looked at the living room. "If that son of a bitch knew that i actually had a kid, have a college degree, have a job and have accomplished more then her cheap ass would i think that'll shut her up." i went to walk in there but Leland held me back. "Whoa there hot shot. you're pregnant. can't have you risking anything." Beth looked at us. "And when did the two of you have time to do that?" i blushed. "Dakota was with a friend of mine while i went out with a few other friends. Leland was drunk and i couldn't drink still and now look at where we are now. i wasn't really thinking and i kinda haven't had sex since the last time we did it and yeah. i stay loyal and only have had sex with one man. i get it i'm weird." Beth chuckled. "You my lady are far from weird. but you two help me and Ashley with gathering everyone up and getting stuff on the table." we nodded and did as what we were told.
