A Vacation to the Moon
I was on a vacation to the Moon
When I heard a familiar echo
Amazed, I turned around
To watch a familiar shadow
Branches shivering in the cold air
Roots floating in the pool of water
There it stood, a tree of stars
Lighting the dark crater
Full of glee, as I ran down its path
I saw an alien with a grin
To break the deadly silence
It was playing its favorite violin
Before leaving that beautiful place
I plucked some stars that were ripe
Just to proudly show them back on Earth
As souvenirs from the journey of my life
