"Saige!" A little boy screamed as he ran down the aisle of the bus, my knee was bouncing but a large smile grew on my face. "Hey Grayson," I replied while he grabbed the bottom of my leather jacket. "Ma says that we're almost there," He whispered in my ear. I nodded taking note. I looked at all the families on the small bus. "Tell Ma that everything's going well back here," I said and took the small boy off of my lap. He ran forward to the front, he was lingering there while talking with Misty. The person beside me tapped my shoulder. "Is there by any chance you know where we're headed?" The younger woman asked politely. I grabbed my map while pointing to a small town with one of my fingers. "There, it's a supply drop. We usually go here before heading to one of the main settlements," I notified, she nodded. I wrapped the map back up, I placed it in my pocket. "Which settlement takes in newbies?" The woman questioned a few minutes later, I turned my head to face her then pulled the map out. "Looks like either the church or the hill," I responded shortly after. "I'd recommend the hill for people who are looking for work and the church for more religious people," I informed her. She smiled. "Saige get up here!" Someone screamed, I jumped at my name. I quickly put the map away while running up the aisle of the bus. My steps were uncoordinated from the movement of the bus. "What is it?" I asked while looking at my mom who was perfectly fine. Then I noticed she wasn't breathing. "We're gonna hit that car straight on and your mom isn't doing anything!" One of the passengers snapped. I nodded Grayson was missing which made my anxiety raise. I pulled my mom out of the seat and tried to swivel out but we hit the truck head-on. Screams, oh how the screams filled the bus. "Grayson!" I screamed trying to find my little brother. "Grayson!" I screamed once more than all the screams filtered then stopped. I managed to have all the people leave the bus which resulted in people running towards the woods but I couldn't find Grayson, I hit the back seat with frustration but then tears started falling down my cheeks which soon blurred my vision.
