Bryan Turned off the shower, his uncle had a really nice house, fitted with a super deluxe bathroom. He stepped out of the tub onto the tile floor, his feet still wet from the shower. He grabbed a towel out of the large towel cabnet, and garbed himself in it. Bryan started getting dressed, he threw on a clean pair of his favorite blue jeans, and his "Of Beauty and Rage" album T-Shirt, the one he had gotten from his last trip to Cleveland for a concert a few years back. After he had dressed, he took off for the kitchen. As he dashed down the hall, the smell of frying bacon assalted his nose, like hundreds of tiny fighter jets, all attaching him at once. The smell made him smile.
The kitchen was at the end of a long hallway, and each step there was something else interesting. Some of the walls had expensive paintings, and fancy nicnacks, Wich he thought was surprising, considering that his uncle didn't like to brag about his wealth, and didn't really like paintings. Bryan was just about to step out into the main lobby, when a figure shrouded in shadow stepped out in front of him, blocking him in. The figure was wairing a jacket with the hood up, and his hands where burried in his pockets.
"Who are you?!" Bryan demanded, but got no response.
"Who are you?!" He asked again, still no response. Just then, the shadow figure began advancing toward Bryan, pushing him down the long hall, untill he had backed himself up against a wall. Fear setting in, Bryan was ready to attack, ready to deffend himself from any further advancement.
"I will ask this one more time, Who Are You!?" Again greeted by silance. After what seemed like an eternity, the figure again shifted, raising his hand Bryan got ready to fight. But the shadow man didn't make a fist, instead he reached for his hood, flipping the hood back, long locks of gold hair fell out, and draped down across the figures shoulder, as the shadows subsided, the figures face could be made out better. Standing before Bryan was a beautiful young lady, with long locks of blond hair spilling over her shoulders.
"BOO!!" The girl screemed, knocking Bryan into the wall behind him. It was only Haily.
"What was that for!!" Bryan cried, "You about gave me a heart attack!"
"That was the point," Haily quiped, shooting Bryan a flirtatious wink.
"So, what's the plan for today? Are we going anywhere?"
"I don't know, mabye." Bryan said, "Not to sure what I will be doing for a while." "Ok," Haily responded, "Let me know when you can." Then she turned, prancing toward the kitchen like nothing happened. Bryan smiled, Thats my girl, scare me and then run off toward the food. Bryan smiled again, then bound down the hall after her.
Bryans' parents had already left for work, so it was just the two of them in the house with Bryans' Uncle, who was still sleeping. So it was pretty much the two of them alone.
"So, what do you want to do today?" Bryan asked Haily, curios about what her plans may involve.
"Oh, you know," Haily stammered, "Shopping, more Shopping, checking out that destroyed place on the news, did I mention shopping?"
"Wait, what place on the news?" Bryan asked, curiosity plasterd across his face.
"That place that got destroyed, remember, we felt the Aftershock of, the explosion."
"Oh that place." Bryan exclaimed, "Do they know what happens to it? What destroyed it?"
"No, the government is saying that it was a ballistic rocket from North Korea, but imigas from radar show that there was no rockets from North Korea aimed for the U.S, and even crazier, they aren't even claiming responsibility for the bombing."
"That's insane," Bryan exclaimed, concern radiating within his head.
"Have there been any other attacks?"
Bryan asked,
"Yes there have." Haily replied
"Where?"
"New York, Shanghai, Rio, San Francisco, and some other major city's around the globe."
"This is terrible!" Bryan exclaimed, "And you want to go to one of those city's, why?!?"
"Because," Haily said, "I want to see if I can deduce what happened, also, internet carma."
"No!" Bryan said stearnly, "we will not be going there. It may have been a nuclear bomb, and there may even still be radiation in the area!"
"And that's a chance I am willing to take." Haily said, her beautiful face now grim with determination. "And I'll go alone if that's what it takes!"
She then turned to the door, pausing for just a second, hoping that Bryan would say somthing. She didn't want to go alone, but she had to make it seem is if she did. Mabey that would get his attention. She felt his firm hand rest on her shoulder, holding her from leaving, not in an abusive manner, but one of love and respect.
"As much as I dont want to go, I can't let you do this alone." Bryan said, "but, before we do this, we need to make sure we are prepared. There is nothing like going to the scene of a crime, just to get infected my some alien disease." He started to laugh, witch made Haily start to laugh as well.
"Your so paranoid," Haily exclaimed, "come on, let's go get ready!"
