The next morning I woke up to the sun shining bright and a bird chirping outside my window. I sat up a stretched, I imagine I probably looked like a cat when I did. I got out of bed and my feet hit the cold hard wood floor making me shutter. I walked down stairs in my pjs to see Damon sitting in the living room. I rubbed the back of my head as I let out a yawn.
"Morning." I mumbled. Damon looked up from the book he was reading and gave a smile.
"Morning sleeping beauty." he said taking a sip of his bourbon. I scoffed at him and shook my head.
"Oh please. Everyone knows that bitch woke up and did her hair and make up. No person wakes up to the look perfect." I said and poured me a glass of the golden liquid sitting on the table.
"Ah, very optimistic of you. But you see, my dearest Bailey, that is why they call it a Fairy tale." Damon said smirking at me. I snarled and scoffed.
"Hardy har har Damon." I said taking a sip of the delicious bourbon.
"I'm hilarious, I know." he smirked again. I scoffed and finished off my drink. I set the glass down on the table and walked back upstairs. While walking up the stairs I passed Stefan.
"Morning Bails." he said using the nickname he gave me when we first met. I smiled at him.
"Morning Steffy." I said using the nickname I gave him when we met. He chuckled and continued his way downstairs. I continued my journey back upstairs and to my bedroom. Before I shut the door I heard Stefan ask "What are we going to do about the Mikaelson's?" My heart cringed at that. It pains me so much that their own mother would do that to them.
"Nothing. Let them all die." I heard Damon say. My mouth dropped and my eyes widened.
"You know damn well Bailey won't let that happen." Stefan said.
"Then we keep her locked in the house until the ritual is over. Done and done." Damon replied. I crossed my arms and scoffed.
"Yeah, well, you didn't run around with her. I did. When she wants something, she gets it. There is no ifs, ands, or buts." I heard Stefan reply to his brother. Damn right.
"Fill her with vervain. I don't know Stefan. We'll think of something."
"That won't work Damon. Vervain doesn't effect her. She became immune to it."
"We'll think of something alright?"
"Oh no. You're on your own with this one. I know what Bailey can do when she gets pissed off. I'm not going to be a part of this."
"Fine. I'll do it then."
"And how exactly do you plan on doing it Damon?"
"I'm going to fill her with vervain and stuff her with wooden bullets until shes unconscious." I heard Damon reply. My eyes narrowed.
"Damn he will." I said under my breath. I grabbed my phone and sent a text to Elijah.
To: Elijah
From: Bailey
Hey something came up. Can we change the dinner to a lunch?
After I sent the message I rushed around my room to find something to wear. I finally found something and threw it on my bed and went to get a towel from Damon's bathroom. When I came back my phone was buzzing.
From: Elijah
To: Bailey
Of course love. What time shall I pick you up?
I looked over at the clock and saw it was just now turning ten. I sighed and decided a time.
To: Elijah
From: Bailey
Say around noon?
From: Elijah
To: Bailey
Sounds great darling. See you then. :*
I smiled at the text and ran to the bathroom and took a shower. When I was done with my shower routine I dried my hair and put on some light make up. I then finished getting ready. By time I was done getting ready it was almost noon so I decided to go downstairs and wait for Elijah. When I got downstairs Stefan and Damon were still sitting in the living room along with their fried Alaric and Elena. I smiled kindly at the two and nodded.
"Pleasure to see you both again." I said kindly. Elena just nodded and smiled. Alaric on the other hand seemed to be at a loss for words.
"Dude, don't drool." Damon said. I rolled my eyes at him and crossed my arms.
"Pleasure to see you again as well Bailey." Alaric said after he was down glaring at Damon. I smiled at everyone in the room besides Damon and walked over to the door.
"Where are you going?" Damon asked from the living room.
"What does it matter?" I questioned.
"I was just wondering so if something were to happen we know where to find you." Damon said. I scoffed and turned to face the others.
"Hm, lets see what's wrong with that picture. One, I'm older than you, two, you don't need to know where I'm going, and three, there are such things as cell phones." I said waving mine in the air.
"I don't give a shit if you're older and I could care less if you have a cell phone. You're still like a little sister to me even if you don't accept that." Damon said standing from the couch and walking in front of me with his arms crossed. I sighed and nodded.
"I'm going out to lunch." I said to him. He rose his eyebrows but didn't question it any further.
"Was that so hard?" he questioned. I nodded and gave a slight smile. I turned around and walked out of the door. When I made it outside Elijah was starting to walk to the door. I smiled at him which he kindly returned. I reached out his hand for mine which I gladly accepted.
"You look lovely." He said smiling. I smiled back at him.
"You look very handsome as well." I said taking in his appearance. He wasn't wearing his usual suit. He wore a casual button down shirt and a dark blazer with a dark pair of jeans and nice pair of black shoes, he did look extremely handsome.
"Well thank you Bailey." he smiled at me. I returned his smile as he opened the door for me. I got in while smiling warmly at Elijah. He smiled back and walked over to the driver's side. Once he was in we were off. He took me to The Grill, which was perfectly okay with me. When I parked I was about to open my door only to be beat to it by Elijah. He held out his hand which I took. I looked up at him and smiled. He smiled back and he continued to hold my hand. I intertwined our fingers which Elijah didn't seem to mind. We walked into the Grill hand in hand. We found a booth and sat there and ordered.
"Elijah, there is something I need to tell you." I said. I looked down at my lap and started to play the the hem of my dress beginning to get nervous.
"What is it?" he questioned. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I tilted my head up and look Elijah dead in the eye so he knows I'm not lying when I tell him what I'm about to tell him.
"The night of the ball, something, something happened." I said putting my hands on the table. Elijah didn't say anything, so I took that as his way for telling me to continue. "When Elena went to talk to your mom, your mother did something." I said still not breaking eye contact.
"What did she do?" Elijah asked taking one of my hands into both of his. "She didn't threaten to harm you did she?" he questioned. I shook my head quickly.
"Of course not. She did something worse." I replied. Elijah furrowed his eyebrows and I sighed. "She bound you and your siblings as one." I said looking into his eyes. I know he knows I'm not lying because a rush of sadness crossed his face. "She plans on killing you all at once. And. Finn is the one sacrificing." I told him truthfully. Elijah shut his eyes but didn't let go of my hand. I covered the hand that was on top of mine with my own. We sat in silence for a few moments. I ran my thumb over his hand trying to sooth him. Elijah finally broke the silence when he let out a long, sad sigh.
"Do you mind if I call my siblings here?" he questioned. I shook my head and he took out his phone and called who I was assuming to be Klaus. "They're on there way here." I nodded and looked down. I felt a hand go underneath my chin and gently lift up my face. "I can't thank you enough Bailey." Elijah said still holding my face in his hand. I felt tears brim the edge of my eyes but I pushed them back. Elijah widened his eyes and changed sides of the booth so he was sitting next to me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and hugged me into his side. "We're going to fix this. I promise. My mother will not get away with this." Elijah soothed. He ran his hand up and down my arm in a soothing manner. It is very selfish of me to feel this way right now but I can't help it. I'm close to Klaus, Becca, and Elijah, I don't want to imagine even losing one of them. Not too long later the others walked in and I explained what was told to me and they were all furious, but I think Becca was hurt the most. They all chatted on how they were going to resolve this and I just sat there with Elijah's arm draped around my shoulders. I felt a light pressure on my head. I looked up at Elijah who I was assuming just kissed the top of my head. I leaned up and kissed his cheek. He then pulled me even closer to his side. "Come on let's go back to my house, you can get some sleep there." Elijah said getting out of the booth. I followed and as soon as I was out of the booth his hand went straight to my own and intertwined our fingers. We arrived at Mikaelson Manner and Elijah walked me up to his room. I stood in the middle of his room awkwardly. Elijah rummaged through some drawers and pulled out a shirt and some sweat pants and handed them to me. "Here, you can wear these." I smiled at him and nodded. I began to get undressed and Elijah turned around so his back was facing me.
"It's okay Elijah. I have underwear on." I said with a slight giggle. Elijah coughed, which was not a real cough, and turned around slowly. By the time he turned around I had put his shirt on and started climbing into bed.
"You don't want the pants?" he questioned. I shook my head.
"I don't like to wear pants to bed." I said snuggling into the sheets. Elijah began to strip down as well and slid into bed. Elijah pulled me close to his body and I cuddled into his chest.
"Goodnight love." he whispered while running his hand up and down my arm.
"Goodnight Elijah." I replied and closed my eyes. Not too long after I began to drift off into dreamland.
