"Ty" yells Kevin, "Get up here now and explain why the roof isn't finished!", "Sorry boss I've really busy." Ty says from his other project. Ty couldn't wait to get off work and head over to the station and hang out with the rest of the crew. "I'll finish it first thing tomorrow" he replied even though he knew he'd probably be putting in his 2 week notice Friday, he loved the job but knew that construction wasn't paying nearly as much as it should. 5'o'clock read Ty's cellphone as he turned into the station. "Sup probie" yells the captain as Ty walks through the door, although Ty has been at the station over a year the name probie has seemed to stick around. "Company 8, Rescue 8", Ty hears as the announcements on the intercom echos loudly through the station, "We have a 4 alarm house fire on 1138 Yankee Boulevard.". Before the dispatcher could finish the message most of the men already had their gear and were ready to go including Ty. As men piled in the rig and started out the station a lot of men started joking around, but Ty as well as the other men knew that this was just a cover up, knowing that there was a possibility that some of them would not come home tonight.
