Chapter 6: Chūnin Exams...

I had forgotten.. Sakura mused I can't believe it's the Chūnin Exams already..

Sakura was staring down the Sand-Siblings,  Temari and Kankuro, who was being rather rude.

of course their being rude stupid Sakura scolded herself  we're not friends yet.. Gosh why am i so stupid lately?!

Sakura had been on edge a little while ago, Sasuke had called her useless for no reason, and then Naruto had to be a moron and try to say she was his girlfriend.  If only Sakura could tell them, She's from the future and she's married.

"Kankuro...back off."

Garra... Sakura mused to herself compared to the future..he's rather..chilling..but Naruto will change that soon..

Sakura could see the look of shock on everyones faces,  and when she made eye contact with Garra...his eyes narrowed at her friendly look..like he didn't like it at all.

"i'd hate to break this up." Sakura stepped in, drawing all eyes to her. "but save your energy for the Chūnin Exams okay?" 

"Chūnin Exams?" Naruto questioned

"Yea." Temari answered "you know what they are right?" 

Naruto shook his head no, and sakura stepped in  "The Chūnin Selection Exams are an opportunity for genin to be promoted to chūnin. And they happen twice a year at different hidden villages..this year our village is host.."  

Sakura could feel Garra's famous death glare burning into her skin, but she made no notice of it, but she was curious..why was Garra staring at her? and not at Sasuke like before?

"lets go.." Garra commanded

"hey you!" Sasuke exclaimed "identify yourself."

"you mean me?" Temari blushed brightly,  making Sakura roll her eyes and fend of a bout of jealousy. After all it wasn't like Temari was flirting with her husband  future husband Sakura reminded herself  still got 11 or 12 years before that happens 

"no him..the guy with the gourd on his back." Sasuke pointed at Garra

Garra turned. "my name is Garra of the Desert...i'm curious about you too..and the pink hair'd girl." 

Sakura felt her heart jump, in her chest..this could be bothersome if she wasnt careful..

"I am Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke smirked  "and the girl is Sakura Haruno" 

because i couldn't introduce myself Sakura thought glumly..although..it almost seems like Sasuke dosen't want me to speak to Garra..interesting..

"HI THERE-" Sakura instantly blocked out Naruto, knowing this was going no where fast.

6 day's later, it was time for the exams, and Sakura was more then ready to get going,  and like before everything went acording to plan,  Lee confessed his love, and they met Kabuto ...it took all Sakura had not to pound his face in..

And the Written Test was the same,  and Sakura finished within the first 3 minutes..now she just had to get the answers to Naruto and Sasuke..not that they needed them, it only mattered if they passed the final question.

Sakura let her eyes dart around the room,  some people wern't cheating at all, other were, shino had his bugs, Kiba had Akamaru, there was a mirror on the ceiling.  Sakura couldn't think of anything that wasn't obvious.. If only she had her slugs..then they could whisper the answers into Naruto and Sasuke's ears.

Then Sakura remembered Sasuke had his Sharingan, so she relaxed a bit we passed before..why am i so on edge now.. she wondered.

They passed..just like Sakura knew..but now was the time to decide..would Sakura save Sasuke from the curse? or would she try to stop it?  What if she drew Orochimaru's attention and he decided she was a good host?

Sakura raked her hands through her hair and Sasuke noticed her agitation making a note to talk to her about her recent behavior.

It was time to pack their well...packs, with items needed.  Sakura filled hers to the brim with medicines and gauze,  some pills and water..until something caught her eye ear plugs?  i don't think they were here last time..

Sakura snatched up a pair and shoved it into her pocket.

When her eye's landed on the gates leading into the Forest of Death..Sakura couldn't help but wonder if Sarada was taking her own Chunin Exams at this moment.
