Brooke's POV:

The next morning I got up and wanted to stay in bed until I remembered that I was hanging out with shawn today! I got up and room a quick shower straightened my hair and put on a little mascara and lipgloss. I ate a granola bar and saw I had a text from Shawn. My heart sped up a little.

From: Shawn😘

Hey! We still hanging out today? Hope so :) see you soon

I typed back quickly

Of course! I'll come over right after Alice comes to my house and we will walk over together.

Okay that's cool. Do you mind if I invite my friend Matthew over. He's here for about a month. He's nice too.

I texted Alice immediately after and told her to come over as soon as possible.

Alice showed up about an hour later.

"Hey Alice!!"

"Hey Brooke! I'm so excited to meet Shawn. You seemed really into him on the phone last night.." She smirked

I blushed. "Oh please! I don't like him! I hardly know him!!" But even just the thought of him made my heart race and put a smile on my face. "C'mon let's go. Oh! By the way... He is having a friend named Matthew over as well. I assumed you'd be completely okay with this."

"Of course I'm okay!! You know I'm into my summer romances!" She winks.
