My neighbor Shawn Mendes

Chapter 2

Shawn's POV:

Brooke followed me up the stairs walking with me to my room. I looked behind me and she was smiling at the ground and then met my eyes. We stepped into my room an I flipped on the light.

"Ya so this is my room. There's not much to it yet, though"

She smiled. She was so beautiful. "That's okay" she giggles. "I understand"

We started talking about California and friends and summer and just about everything. The next thing I knew it was an hour later and her mom was calling us down.

Brooke's POV:

I didn't want to go yet because Shawn was so nice, but we started walking down the stairs anyways. I met my mom at the door and she was also laughing with Shawn's mom.

Then she asked my family "would you guys like to stay for dinner? My husband is grilling chicken and I'm sure he can make more!" YES. YES. YES.

"Oh wow how nice!" My mom said. "That would be lovely. Sure we can stay."

"Okay! Dinner will be ready soon!" me and Shawn looked at each other and smiled. We walked back up the stairs and continued out conversation. He was so nice and easy to talk to. I couldn't wait to tell my best friend Alice! We both wanted to meet new boys this summer and I would have to tell her about him. But, Shawn was mine! I mean.... Not that I like him...

About 10 minutes later Mrs. Mendes called us down for dinner and me and Shawn sat next to each other at the table. We ate and stayed and talked for about an hour and when it was about 8pm me and my family got up to leave.

Shawn pulled me to the side and asked "hey, can I have your number? Maybe we can hang out this summer?"

"Ya of course!" we exchanged numbers and he put his contact in as "Shawn😘" he was so cute. We said our goodbyes and walked out into the street. I sighed with a smile stretching across my face. He was so nice. I really do hope we hang out this summer!
