Chapter 1

|| hey guys, this is my shawn fanfic and I really hope you like it :) ||

Brooke's POV:

"HONEY!! time to go come on!" I heard my mom scream from down the hall. Oh great. We had to go welcome our new neighbors. My favorite thing to do. NOT. It's always just awkward and you end up making up stupid things to say just to keep the conversation flowing. But, my mom wanted me to go, so I guess I would have to. I slipped on my sandals and walked out the door with my mom, dad, and stupid annoying little brother Leo. Leo was 13, so ya right at the age where he starts being extremely cocky. And rude. Anyways we walked over and knocked on the door.

"Hello!" said a woman's voice.

"Hi, I'm Lisa! I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood, moving the second day of summer, ya know. Might be hard to get to know people!" my mom said too enthusiastically.

"Oh so nice to meet you come in!" we all stepped into a room full of boxes.

"Shawn! Aaliyah! come here please!"

A girl who looked a little younger than Leo came bouncing down the stairs and quickly waved and said hi. Then my parents started talking to her mom about whatever, some neighbor stuff that I could really care less about and I pulled out my phone. My mom gave me a mean glare as if to say Brooke put that down right now and I shoved it in my pocket with a sigh. Then, I looked up straight into the eyes of a boy I didn't even notice come in the room. He looked my age and had these gorgeous brown eyes.

"Hey." He said cooly, "I'm shawn." Then he smiled and I swear I knew I would like him right then and there. Wait, who I was I kidding, I hadn't even told him my name yet!

"H-hi I'm Brooke. It's so nice to meet you," and said returning his smile.

"It was nice of you to come greet us. I mean I don't know anyone and that would have been a boring summer without anyone." Was he saying we were gonna hang out this summer? I mean not that that's a bad thing.

"Oh yah. Well my mom made me." Oh gee Brooke now he thinks you don't want to be here. "Well not that I didn't want to come! I mean it's totally fine. I'm just saying that, well I mean, it just-"

"It's fine I understand what your trying to say" Shawn said with a chuckle. "Do you wanna come check out my room? there's not much to it yet but I can still show you," he says starting to walk up the stairs. I followed right behind him.
