My neighbor Shawn Mendes

Chapter 3

Brooke's POV:

When I got home I layed in bed thinking about Shawn. Did I like him? No... I mean I just met him. It's just that he was gorgeous.. And nice... And easy to talk to. No Brooke. Stop. I decided the best thing to do was call Alice and tell her everything about him. It rang twice before she answered.

"Hey Brooke!! What's up? How's your summer been so far?"

"Well, now... It's great."

"What happened? Tell me everything!"

"Okay so you know how I told you I was getting new neighbors?"

"Oh no! Are they totally lame?"

"No actually the opposite. There's this guy named Shawn and he's so nice and sweet. He's our age too! 15! And he's got these gorgeous deep brown eyes and he's tall and his smile is so bright and big it literally makes me melt. And guess what? HE ASKED FOR MY NUMBER. And he put his contact name in as Shawn with a kissing face. How amazing is that?!"

"REALLY?? Holy crap I have to meet him!! He sounds great? Do you think he has a friend?" She asks

"Um I don't know. We're not even dating... Or close to dating. You should come over tomorrow and you can meet him or we can ya know spy on him." I laughed.

"Sure! That sounds fun!"

"Oh hang on Alice I'm getting another call"

"Ok, who?"

"Let me check"

Shawn's name appeared on my screen and my heart skipped a beat.

"ITS SHAWN!"

"REALLY?? ANSWER IT! NOW! GOODBYE"

I clicked the end call on me and alice's conversation and answered Shawn's call.

"Hello?" I said sweetly.

"Hey Brooke. I was calling to ask if you wanted to hang out tomorrow."

Was this happening?!

"Um sure! Oh wait.. I just made plans with my best friend Alice. But you could meet her. She wants to meet you!"

"Oh. Okay. So you told her about me?" He said and I knew he was smirking.

"Um.. well..." I blushed.

"Okay. See you tomorrow. Show up whenever you want. Bye Brooke." The line went dead. Ok. All is good. He didn't seem TOO freaked out about me talking to Alice about him... And I was going to hang out with Shawn tomorrow! This very well might be an amazing summer.

I closed my eyes and went to sleep thinking about Shawn.
