Chapter 4: Violence and searching

Rufus' pov

I woke up to my face against a stone floor. I sat up, my entire body in pain. I looked around and didn't recognise where I was. "Where am I" I asked myself. "Better question. Who am I" I asked again. I couldn't remember anything about myself or where I was. 

I heard the door to the cell open as I looked up to see a man with shoulder length black hair and one blue eye and one red eye with a scar on his nose. He held some sort of weird device that I didn't recognise but his smirk made me think that it wasn't a good thing.

He walked over, looking down at me. I took a gulp, nervous about what he was going to do. He pressed a button on the device and a rope extended out of it. He smirked and hit me with the rope on my arm as I screamed from the pain. 

Even after he had hit me, I could still feel the pain from it. He didn't seem satisfied with this since the next time he hit me on the back of my neck, it gave off a burning sensation and I smelt burnt flesh. I looked at the man, my neck in complete pain. The whip he had was now engulfed in flames as he hit me with the whip once again but on my back. 

He stopped after a while and left, locking the door of the cell when he walked out. He had whipped me with the flame whip so much that most of my skin was burnt and some of it had been opened up and was now bleeding. 

I sat up, my entire body wanting to reject the motion due to all of the pain. I felt tears fall from eyes and land on the ground. 'Why me. What did I do to deserve this. I don't even know who I am' I thought, laying down on my front and burying my face in my arms as the tears stung against my burns. 

My throat was sore from all my screaming as I shook violently from fear and pain. I curled up as best I could and tried to get to sleep but kept getting woken up by every little noise I heard due to the fact that I didn't know if it was that guy or not. I didn't get any sleep even though it was pitch black. I don't even know if its day or night. I can't see the outside world. All I see is this awful cell and the wall on the outside, everything being in almost complete darkness.

Orga's pov

We walked into the Fairy Tail guild hall as everyone turned to look at us. "Sabertooth. What are you doing here?" Makarov asked as Minerva walked over to him. "Rufus was taken by someone and Sting and Rogue couldn't find a scent since they teleported" Minerva explained. "One of your members was kidnapped!" Makarov yelled, looking at us. 

Sting nudged me and I held up Rufus' hat which still had the blood stain on the feather. Natsu snatched it out of my hand and sniffed it. "I'm picking up on the scent of someone unfamiliar" he explained, sniffing over the hat. "Can you find them" Yukino asked as he shook his head. 

I don't know where it goes or who it belongs to" he replied with a shrug. "Well thanks for the help anyway" Rogue sighed as we walked out. I looked ahead and spotted the two guys that had been on the job Rufus and I took.

"Guys, Over there. Those guys might know where he is" I told them, pointing at the two men. They both looked at us before running off through the crowd and towards the trees. We ran after them as Rogue went shadow to try and catch them. 

"We lost them" Sting growled when we couldn't find them as we looked around. "Actually, you'd be wrong" Rogue spoke, holding onto the two males shirts. "If it isn't Yanachi and Unezeki" I grinned. "Its Yaguchi and Umezaki" Yaguchi growled, trying to get out of Rogue's grip.

"Whatever. Where is Rufus" I growled, glaring at the two. "You mean the memory make mage. He's with our boss" Unezeki replied. "You idiot. We weren't supposed to tell them that" Yaguchi yelled at his partner. "Where is your boss" I growled, sparking with lightning. "Like we'd tell you. Then our plan wouldn't work" Unezeki replied, crossing his arms.

"UNEZEKI!" Yaguchi yelled again, glaring at the maroon haired male. "What's your plan" Minerva asked, looking at them with a glare. "That's none of your business bun lady" Yaguchi replied, closing his eyes and looking to the side. 

"We'll take them to the guild and lock them in a cell. We can interrogate them till they tell us where Rufus is" Sting suggested as Minerva took Unezeki and Rogue kept a hold of Yaguchi as we headed back to the guild. 'I just hope these guys tell us where Rufus is' I thought with a sigh.
