6 YEARS BACK

"OMG! That new guy Jake looks hot!!" My best friend Paige cooed.

"Yuh huh" I said totally agreeing with her.
Jake was tall and had black hair with striking green eyes and dimples.
Yep he sure was a total eye candy.
All the girls were shamelessly staring at him( including us) but he ignored them and acted as though we all were aliens and went as far as possible from all of us and sat in the back of the class.
Well that was certainly the look I wanted to see.
Paige broke my thoughts as she pointed towards a group of girls giggling, as they look at him. 

We just look at each other and roll our eyes.
Well, the next thing they did? Oh! They sent a red haired girl named Melissa towards him.
She shyly walked towards him and once she reached, she said something pointing towards the empty seat next to him.
He just ignores her and puts his bag on the empty seat.
She walks away, embarrassed.

I try to control my laughter as I go take my seat.

" Thank the lord that the new guy isn't a flirt. " Paige says and dramatically looks up and smiles.

" Well that's there but he's kinda acting weird, don't you think?"
Maybe he was acting so because he was new and wasn't used to all the attention around him maybe because he was homeschooled?
I think to myself.
" Earth to Maddy." Paige says snapping her fingers.
"Sorry, what?" I say, sheepishly.

" Nothing, nevermind."

" Okay class I shall now be assigning you your seats for the semester. " said Mr Saltzman as I was about to ask Paige to tell me what she wanted to say when I was well, you know.

Mr Saltzman taught us English-lit and he was really a funny guy.He had a long beard and streaks of gray in his hair and had a huge tummy.

No, he does not look like Thor though I wish he did.

" Okay Summer you shall be sitting with Ryan and Juniper shall be sitting next to Paige..."
He kept saying so until he came to my name.

"And Madeline shall be sitting next to Jake."

I was happy but at the same time also really scared which I didn't know why.
I was really nervous and my heart was beating so fast that I bet the whole class could hear it.
As I was about to go and sit next to him I tripped and almost fell but Jake caught me at the right time.
OH LORD HE SMELLS SO GOOD!!
Okay this is not the time to think about his smell Madeline.

" Watch your step girl!" Jake said rudely.

" Uh I'm sorry " I said surprised with his reaction.
Well what else did you expect you dumbegg self ? That he would confess his fake love for you ?
Well no!
But still I was surprised as to how rude he was.

I just quietly sit down next to him, not even sparing a glance at him.
He doesn't deserve it after being rude.
As soon as the bell rang, I immediately got up and walked away , as soon as possible.

" Hey wait." Paige says, running as she caught up to me.

It was finally lunch time when Paige and I were about to walk into the cafeteria and someone banged into Paige without even apologizing.
Excuse him? Has he forgotten something called ' manners'?
While Paige was regaining her balance I went up straight to him and because his back was facing me I tapped on his shoulder.

"Hello, where do you think you are going in such a hurry? " I said furious.
When he turned is when I realized who he was.

Of course, it was Jake.  I mentally roll my eyes.

" Oh come on it wasn't that much of a deal alright? " he said, bored.

"What do you mean by not a big deal? Can't you like just apologize or something?" I said angrily.

" shut it else I'll break your jaw if you try to act too smart " he shouted.

" Excuse me ? Who do you think you are threatening huh? Let me tell you, you can't do anything to me and even if you try to I will be the one breaking your jaw . Is that clear ?" I say.
Only then I realize how immature that may have sounded.

" trying to threaten me huh? You should be knowing better than that" He said, angrily.

" Actually as a matter of fact, I do. " I say as I walk away , annoyed.  
That was, honestly the last time I had ever seen him. There were rumors running around the school saying he was arrested.
Rumor or not, I never saw him after that.

Heyy lovelies!! I really am hoping you liked the prolouge and shall continue reading this.
I really hope I will be able to update soon but school's being a nut by giving us a lot of homework. But I'll try my best to update as soon as possible.
