So, my power went out on Friday, when I meant to post (because I had no time on Thursday), and I just got my power back, so I will give Chapter 8 right after this. Sorry!
"Alright, what do you think we're going to get for Christmas?" Emma asked once we'd all settled into our seats on the Hogwarts Express.
"Well, I'm sure my mum's going to give me some candy and maybe another pair of earrings." I answered.
"And I'm pretty sure our mum's going to give us the usual candy, extra quills, and ink." Paige replied.
"Yeah, that's true." Ella agreed. "But I'm not telling what I got everyone else."
"No one planned on doing that anyway." Emma told her.
"All right, we've got a lot of time on our hands, so who wants to play a few rounds of 'Change Danielle's Appearance Just for the Fun of It'?" I questioned.
"We've got nothing better to do, so, yeah." Emma answered.
"I don't see why not." Ella shrugged.
"Sure." Paige replied.
For the next few hours, I constantly changed my appearance. My favorite from Ella was for me to have long, straight rose-gold hair, silver eyes, and light-tan skin. My favorite from Emma was for me to have wavy, shoulder-length mint hair, light blue eyes, and very light skin. My favorite look from Paige was my normal look; then again, she always chose that. She loved it and though it fit me best.
After hours of riding on the train, we finally arrived at Platform 9 ¾. I had to wake Paige up from a catnap, which made us a little behind the people who were leaving the station (which was almost everyone).
When we finally made it to Paige's house, we all ran up to our rooms (I was bunking with Paige) and began unpacking. I was done in ten minutes, due to Paige taking forever, so we didn't get dibs on the good hot chocolate. Emma chose the one with the most marshmallows and Ella chose the on with the most whipped cream. I, at least, got the one with the most hot chocolate in the mug. Mrs. Brink always served us hot chocolate when we came back from Hogwarts for the holidays.
"So, girls, how's school been going?" Mrs. Brink asked.
"Pretty good, but they're giving us so much homework." Paige groaned.
"Well, you're taking your O.W.L.s this year. Your teachers want you to know as much as you possibly can!" Mrs. Brink exclaimed. "Anyway, what do you two," She looked at me and Paige, "want to do later in life?"
"I already told you, Mum, I think I want to be a healer." Paige answered.
"Well, I think I'll be a healer with her, or maybe a professor- but I don't really think that's best-or maybe professional Quidditch player-" I replied.
"You definitely have the skill for that, Danielle." Emma interjected.
"But I'm not so sure about Quidditch though." I told Emma.
"Well, you two seem pretty well organized as far as your O.W.L.s, so how has Quidditch been?" Mrs. Brink questioned.
"We won to Gryffindor because Diggory caught the Snitch, and I can't even talk about the match against Ravenclaw without cringing." Paige responded.
