POV~ Miss Ravira

The class had just been dropped off to Mr. Mason, the art teacher for the elementary school. He was a wacky teacher but the kids loved him and they said he was so funny. I just hoped that Lynn would be alright in that class.

Since I didn't have a class at this hour, I had some free time to myself. I had sat down at my desk and was staring at the things on my desk. Some post-it notes, a few highlighters, some gel pens, my keys, some random doodles, and paper. I tried my best to organize everything on my desk, placing everything where it was before. Sometimes I don't even know how my desk gets so cluttered.

While cleaning up, I noticed the pictures in picture frames on my desk. One was of my dog, Bubba. Bubba was a pitbull and he was the best dog in the entire world. He was extremely protective of me and would bark at anyone he didn't recognize, scared that they could harm me. People were scared of him but deep down he was a happy and lovable dog.

Another picture was one of a sunset. It was so. colorful and vibrant. I had to take a photo of it. The sky was yellow with some watercolor splashes of blue orange and pink. The moon was hidden under some fluffy clouds. It just looked so aesthetically pleasing to me.

The final photo made me tear up a little bit. It was a photo of me as a child. I was about five when this photograph was taken. It was in front of my old house. In the photo, I was standing with my older brother and my younger sister. My brother, Logan, was the best. He's four years older than me. He would always have fun adventures with me and he still does do a lot for me. He was an extrovert–always enjoying the outdoors, not caring if he got splinters as bruises from climbing trees. He was also really into cooking and dreamed of going to culinary school. Currently, Logan is a chef working in a restaurant. The food there is magnificent and it tastes wonderful. He brings leftovers to me at work sometimes.

My sister Ella is–or was–amazing. She would always play dress up with me and play dolls with me. When we would play dress up, she always wanted to be the knight and I was the princess of the kingdom. We were very close as sisters were. Our sisterly love was so precious and our parents thought it was the cutest thing. I remember her favorite animal was a penguin. She just found them to be super cute. Her favorite snack was apple sauce. Ella also loved winter. She loved going sledding, pelting snowballs at our parents, sitting by the fireplace at night. I really do miss her. Sadly when she was six, she passed away due to cancer. I was heartbroken that day. I was only one year older than her. Logan and I were crushed and the two of us never completely understood what happened to her until our parents told us the truth when we were able to comprehend the situation.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I noticed the clock on my desk. 10:26. I had to go get the kids from art class. The art room wasn't far from mine but with all the other kindergarten classes leaving their specials like music, gym, and the library, I had to go now. I glanced one last time at the photo smiling as I went to go retrieve the class.
