And, again, next thing I know, I close my eyes and allow myself to go back to sleep, the thought of leaving Harry's warming side never crossing my mind.

When I woke up I was lying on the couch, and I realized Harry wasn't there beside me because I couldn't feel his body near mine. I slowly opened my eyes, letting them adjust to the clarity of the living room, and spotted Harry sitting on an armchair next to the couch reading a book from which the title I couldn't read, as my eyes weren't completely open yet. I made an effort to stay still, so that I could observe Harry reading without being noticed. As his hair was somehow even messier than yesterday, I figured this was his morning hair. It amazed me how despite everything he was going through inside his head, he still managed to look perfect to my eyes. I wondered what he was reading, and something inside me felt happy for the fact that Harry had felt comfortable enough to get up and choose a book to read.

"Hey, you're up. Good morning," I heard him say in a voice even raspier and huskier than usual "I hope you don't mind I took one of your books... I had nothing else to do."

"It's fine, don't worry. Which one is it?"

"Wuthering Heights."

"You've never read it?" I asked in shock. How could he have already read books such as Anna Karenina without reading Wuthering Heights first?

"Of course I had," he answered with a smile, the dimples on his cheeks on each side of his face being very visible now "I just thought I'd read it again."

A bit later I heard a phone ring, but it wasn't mine, so I figured it would be Harry's. He picked it up and I heard him say:

"Harry Styles. You're already here? Well, you came quicker than I thought you would. Thank you for your time, I'll meet you in no time." He then turned to me and said:

"Violet, it was my insurance company on the phone. I gave them a call this morning before you woke up explaining I'd lost my car and house keys, and they got my car back here and brought me an extra key. I'll stay at my parents' until the paperwork is all filled in and I can get my house keys back. You know, now that I've got my car keys back, it's easier for me to come up with something to tell them."

Oh. He's leaving. I looked at the floor, trying to avoid meeting his gaze, as my eyes would make it noticeable how sad I was about him leaving.

"Hey," he said, cupping my chin with his two big hands, "I can't thank you enough for what you did for me. You're worth so much more than you imagine, beautiful. Don't you ever forget me, because I surely will never, ever forget you darling."

"But... Will you be okay? I mean... You're not gonna try it again, are you?..."

"I promise you I won't." he said in a serious tone, and I think he meant it.

Even though his promise was intended to make me feel less sad, it didn't. I was looking forward to spend more time with him, to get to know even more of him, and now he was leaving me forever. I mentally cursed at myself for getting my hopes up about this, but I guess I couldn't be blamed; it wasn't humanly possible for me to ignore the fact that Harry had, in fact, astonished me, and not because of his cooking skills, but for him.

"But I have to go now, they're waiting for me outside. Thank you, Violet."

And as he leaned in to kiss my cheek goodbye, I turned my face so that the kiss aimed my lips. And it did.

You're welcome, Harry Styles.
