Los Angeles
- Dylan O'Brien –A lot has changed in six months. I finished most of my movies before Christmas, Lydia has graduated from college and is now full-time event manager at Richard's business. She's even taken the job of photographer and has a couple jobs on the side here and there, but mostly for the weddings she organizes with her uncle. For Christmas, we went back to New York, and I met her parents for the first time, and she met mine. I loved how excited my folks and Julia were to finally meet the girl that's been practically all over the internet and in all the magazines.
Dylan's mystery Girl
New GF for Dylan O'Brien?!
Has he finally moved on from Britt?!
All those headlines were thrown at them, and they had sent me a couple of messages asking to meet the girl. And now they finally did. At Christmas time. I didn't have time before that and neither did Lydia. With our packed schedules of our busy jobs. I'm glad she has her job to distract her from the fact that I'm gone so much. I asked her once if she ever thought about leaving, because I'm practically never home. To which she replied something I'd never thought she'd reply.
"Some people long for a life that is simple and planned, you know, tied with a ribbon. Some people won't sail the seas because they're safer on land. But I follow you to the great unknown. As long as you promise to never let go, I'll walk this tightrope with you forever. It's all an adventure that comes with a breathtaking view, Dyl." I have never loved her more than in that exact moment.
Today marks the twenty-eighth of December, exactly six months since she came back. Today also marks the day Lydia officially moves in with me. She practically lived in this flat for the past seven months, but today is the day we can officially share a closet, share a whole space. I've been looking forward to this moment since the day I asked her. It was at dinner, right after her second wedding-event she organized. It looked rather magical with the gorgeous pink dress she was wearing, and the soft music that was playing in the background, the dimmed lights. Everything was perfect. Everything still is perfect. Certainly, when I watch her walk through my door for the third time in the last fifteen minutes with her arms grasping onto two boxes. I can see her struggle a bit, but it's too amusing to go and help her.
"Little help, please, babe," she groans as she tries to feel for the table to put her keys on. I chuckle and get up from the couch to relieve her from both the boxes.
"Where do you want these?" I ask as I turn around to scan the living room.
"Left is clothes, right is bathroom stuff," she says, and I hear her turn around, probably to get some more boxes.
"How much bathroom stuff do you own?" I mumble and make my way to the bathroom first.
"You know, Lush bath bombs and stuff, all good things to put in the bath. Things you don't own!" she yells through the flat, so I can hear it in the bathroom.
"Right, yeah!" I yell back as I put the box down and then move to the bedroom to put the box with clothes on the bed. I'm going to bet you this isn't the only clothes box she owns. I walk out the bedroom and through the flat to exit the building. That's where I find her at her car, trying to juggle two boxes again. My eyes roll back, amused at this girl's stubbornness.
"Come here," I command and grab the two boxes from her. There's only one left now, which she can carry. "Where do you want these?" I ask again and hear her shut the door behind her.
"Also in the bedroom," she commands. Called it. I put the boxes down and when I turn around, I find my girlfriend standing right in front of me, making me stumble back a little.
"Jeez, you can make a man jump," I tell her, clutching my heart dramatically. I earn an eye-roll from her before she grabs me by my shirt and pulls me closer.
"My man can help me unpack," she states and goes on her tippy toes to reach my lips for a kiss.
"Aye, aye captain!" I say and salute her, "But I might need some motivation first, though," I smirk and lean down to kiss her again. She wants to pull away, but I don't, so I put my hands on her ass and pull her closer, deepening the kiss.
"Is that enough motivation?" she asks when she pulls back.
"Mmh," I scrunch up my nose, thinking about it. "Not quite," I mumble and kiss her once again. This time, I don't deepen it and pull away almost immediately. Maybe if we unpack really quickly, we can cuddle on the couch and watch a movie. Maybe we could actually enjoy one another's company for the time we have together. I do leave for London in a couple days, so I might as well cherish every moment I have with her. "Okay, let's go!" I then say and slap her butt playfully before we both start unpacking. I'm on clothes-duty, as it's rather easy to put those away. She's on bathroom-duty as she knows exactly where she wants to put all her Lush-stuff. I'm actually quite excited to take a bath with her tonight. That might be a good way to initiate our first day living together. For once in my life, something feels right. Everything feels right.-Lydia Moon-
I finish with my section before Dylan does, so I go into the bedroom to check up on him. He's on the last box, putting my clothes into piles, hanging dresses on hangers, and perfectly dividing the space we have to share now.
"You okay in here?" I ask, making him jump a little. He's got a lot on his mind, that's for sure.
"Yeah, I'm almost done," he says and smiles at me. For a second, I think the room actually lit up for a second. The past six months have been the best months of my life. Everything seems to finally fall into place. Everything feels right for once.
"Do you need some help?" I question, kind of hoping he says no.
"It's okay, I'm almost finished," his voice is soft and sweet, kind of soothing, "you go ahead and pick a movie to watch, yeah?" I nod and turn around to walk into the living room again. I want to go and sit on the couch, but something else catches my eye. It's the full moon shining brightly outside our flat. It feels weird saying 'our flat', even though I'm just thinking it. I take a deep breath and walk towards the sliding door to open it and walk outside onto the small, stone balcony. I've been out here a couple of times when Dylan was gone. It's the perfect space to think. About everything. About life, about the future. About what I want to achieve, dreams and goals, and such. It gives me the perfect opportunity to reflect on life.
"Hey," his soft voice sounds behind me and it makes me jump slightly, "What are you doing out here?" he asks, and I feel him next to me. I lean into him a little, my back just touching his chest.
"Thinking," I reply simply without taking my eyes off the bright moon. It's so bright, it lights up the whole city. Living in Hollywood is probably one of the weirdest things I have ever done, but it's quite nice. I never thought I would love it here. Dylan doesn't say anything further, but just wraps his arms around me, pressing me closer to his chest. His lips press against my temple, and I enjoy the sensation it's giving me.
"Do you ever feel anything during full moons?" he asks me softly, his mouth close to my ear.
"Right now?" I ask to clarify, and he simply hums in response, "Complete and utter happiness," my voice is just above a whisper, as if he's the only person allowed to hear the words. He loosens his grip on me, making me look up to him to see what he's thinking. A smile plays on his lips, that gorgeous, sweet smile I love so much.
"Really?" he asks, happy with the response I've given him, but he still needs reassurance.
"Yes, really," I say back, and he leans in to kiss me on the lips. If I had to describe the most precious and perfect moment in my life, it's this one. Everything is perfect. Everything feels good. I just feel one hundred percent happy.
