"I feel all the blood rushing to my head..." Hau groaned, laying upside down on the Aether family's couch.
Moon laid upside down next to Hau, "You gonna tap out?" She asked.
Hau grunted, "No. My Gramps didn't raise a quitter!"
"Could you both quit it?" Gladion hissed, standing behind his couch, watching the two teens hang off of it, "I can hear the blood rushing to your heads."
"Well I can feel it." Hau grunted.
Lillie watched the competition intently, "I think if you two do this for much longer, you'll pass out."
Moon shrugged, "It happens."
"Hey did you hear Kukui and Burnett's wedding anniversary is coming up?" Moon asked the group.
"No, and I could care less." Gladion hissed.
"Oh have you seen pictures?" Lillie asked Moon.
"Of course! It was so pretty!" Moon sighed.
"Fine! I give!" Hau exclaimed suddenly, sitting back upright.
"Yes!" Moon chirped, sitting back up.
Both Moon and Hau groaned and rubbed their temples.
"Maybe that was a stupid idea..." Moon admitted.
"Ya think?" Hau groaned.
Lillie and Gladion cringed.
Moon raised an eyebrow, "What?"
Gladion's pupils turned into slits, but he shook his head and they disappeared, "Nothing."
Hau rolled his eyes and stood up, "Well children, it's been nice. Now I have to head off to work. Gotta go put food on the table."
"You mean your mom is just done spending money on your giant appetite?" Moon teased.
Hau pointed a finger gun at Moon, "Yup. See ya later!"
Lillie got up from her place on the floor, "Bye sweetie!" She chirped, giving Hau a kiss before he walked out the door.
Even after he was gone, Lillie's goofy grin remained. It didn't go unnoticed.
"Oh isn't my boyfriend ever so dreamy?" Moon said, using her best Lillie voice, "I wonder what our wedding's gonna be like."
Lillie playfully shoved Moon as she sat down next to her, "Shut up!"
"Yeah Moon shut up." Gladion said, "Cause it's not gonna happen."
Moon frowned, "Why not?!"
"Because humans and vampires can't marry." The blond explained.
Moon crossed her arms, "What? But I thought your dad was human?"
"He was when we were born." Lillie said, "But Mother turned him so they could get married."
"Fun. So like, awkward question," Moon said, "You guys were born vampires? How?"
"Well for vampires to be born one parent has to be living." Gladion explained, sitting on the arm of the couch next to Moon. Moon gave Gladion her arm, where two puncture wounds were prominent.
"It's been almost two weeks, Flower Boy." Moon told him when he raised a curious eyebrow.
"I really hate it when you call me that..." Gladion muttered, taking Moon's arm. He was about to bite her when he saw Lillie wiggling her eyebrows at him.
"Don't look!" He hissed.
Lillie chuckled and covered her eyes, "So private..."
Moon gasped as Gladion stuck his teeth into her arm. When he finished, he got up and walked into the kitchen.
Moon stared down at the holes in her arm, "I'll never get used to that..." she sighed.
"You okay?" Lillie asked, knowing what was truly bothering her friend.
"Is he really against the whole 'vampires and humans' thing?" Moon asked.
"I think it may just be me and Hau he's against. You know how he hates Hau."
"I never understood why..."
"He's too loud and happy for him I think."
"I bet he doesn't like me too much then..." Moon sighed.
Before Lillie could say another word, Gladion came back into the living room and handed Moon a juice box and a cookie.
"Thanks..." Moon muttered, stabbing the straw into the juice box.
Gladion looked to his sister, confused by Moon's tone shift, but Lillie just shook her head.
