The empty black void surrounded me, engulfing my entire existence. The heat pained me and the pressure confused me. My head was still spinning though I could tell I wasn't moving at all. My body was so numb it felt like I had been out for days, but in my head it felt like only a few minutes.
A strange sensation filled my arm. It was warm, and made me feel all tingly. Then a noise drifted into my ears, and the light starts flooding into my vision. Flickering my eyes open and shut a couple of times, trying to get used to the new found light.
The ceiling above me was blindingly white, and all of a sudden I hear a gasp, then a scramble of movement. Turning my head slightly, a sharp pain struck through my head.
Cursing to myself, I look to the figure. Niall. Taking in his soft features, I smile slightly.
"Leah?" I hear another familiar voice to my other side, and I take the stupid move if turning my head again causing more pain. Harry.
"Look what you made her do! She's gonna damage her head even more, then she'll burst the stitches and be in here longer, you idiot" Niall cursed, rushing to my side after collaring a nurse in.
"Well it's not my fault, she was with you when she first collapsed. Therefore it's your fault she's like this in the first place" Harry retorts, with a twisted look on his face. Both of them square up to each other, getting into each other's faces over my bed. It was quite terrifying to watch, I began to get really warm and uncomfortable.
"She was asleep, it's not my fault! I wasn't anywhere near her when it happened!"
"Guys" I whisper. The nurse walks back out saying she'll get my medication.
"Well then it is even more your fault for not being with her, to look after her!"
"So if I was with her, it was my fault for making her collapse but if I wasn't with her it's my fault for not looking after her?" Niall questions, obviously puzzled.
"Pretty much, but honestly. She's your girlfriend, you need to look after her. I did a better job of that.. And I'm her friend for Gods sake" Harry's voice begins to rise, and soon they're in a heated argument and my head begins to spin. It could've been the fact that Harry called me a "friend", because every time he seems to do that... A piece of me dies inside. Or it could've been the fact that I felt extremely faint right now.
"Guys please!" I shout as loud as I can, though it only comes through as a whisper due to the intense hoarseness of my voice, before blacking out once more.
-2 days later-
"Okay Leah, we'll run your final set of obs, and if they're all fine then we can discharge you with pain relief and a couple of days rest" the nurse smiles down at me. They'd explained that my body reacted badly with the stress of the two boys arguing over me and shut down to prevent me from dealing with it. She even advised I get a stress ball to play with.
I'd been lonely these last two days, both Niall and Harry were kicked out of the hospital for 'disruptive behaviour' and I had switched my phone off so I didn't have to put up with the apology texts. They'd apologise then ask whose side I was on and frankly I couldn't care less right now. My health was my main priority, the boys could wait.
The nurse checked my blood pressure, temperature and all that other stupid stuff, before telling me I was fine and I was free to go, so long as someone picked me up.
Niall barely drove. I found out that Louis, Liam, Zayn and the girls had down time... So that left Harry. I was desperate. Taking a deep breath, I dial his number and await his voice.
"Hello?" He asks. His voice sounds clouded...his morning voice. I just woke him up - oops.
"Can you pick me up?"
