"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU SON OF A BITCH?"

"Well I just thought I'd come and see y-"

"WHY DO YOU THINK YOU CAN COME OUT OF THE BLUE AND STALK ME?"

"I'm not stalking you I just wa-"

"I DONT CARE WHAT YOU WANT DAD. YOU RUINED ME."

"A, love, who is this man?"

"It's my fuckface of a dad, Jayy."

I couldn't believe he was standing here. In front of me. My dad left me when I was about six, and he tried to kill my mom and me a numerous amount of times.

"Look Ariel, I know I left when you were eight-..."

"I was six jackass."

"Six that's what I meant, but you can't ignore me because I walked out on you. I want to come back into your life and be the father you deserved to have."

"Listen to me dickwad. I've been through a fuckton of SHIT in my life and the last thing I want is for you to come back and think everything is oh so perfect. Go back to Sweden, do some heroin, and then jump off a cliff you shitface. I want nothing to do with you. I don't want you near me. My life has been so much better without you in it. I have my boyfriend, my best friend, and my mom. I don't need a disgusting piece of shit to come and ruin it all for me. In case you haven't noticed, I hate you. You tried to kill my mom and me so many times. You deserve to be in jail. Better yet, you deserve the god damned death penalty you shitfuckingcuntsack."

"Holy shit A..."

Dahvie snapped me back in reality, but I still meant everything I said. I never really opened up about my family life. It was hard the first couple years after he left, but after that everything got a lot easier.

"I want you to go. Go back to Sweden, dad. You don't deserve to be in my life."

"I...okay."

I knew for a fact that he wasn't leaving and that he was going to figure out where I would be tomorrow, but I was prepared.

After he left, I broke down and ran to Jayy.

"Shhhh shhh you're okay it's okay. Dahvie and I will protect you. Look at me, look at me."

I did so.

"I love you Ariel. You are so amazing and I will NEVER let that man hurt you. Okay?"

"Okay Jayy. Thank you so much."

I couldn't sleep that night. It was impossible. I felt as if he was watching me. Counting every breath I take. Watching me struggle to breathe under the weight of his anchor.

I snuggled in closer to Jayy hoping to find some feeling of protection, but even as he wrapped his arms around me I felt like something bad was going to happen.

And the worse part is, I felt that something bad was going to happen to Jayy, not me.

The next morning, after a 2 hour sleep, I woke up to an empty bed. Not necessarily like usual.

I found Jayy and Dahvie in the kitchen. They both took the time to make a meal for me.

"Ariel! Oh I love you so much!"

"Mm, I love you too Dahvie."

"I'm so excited!"

"For what?"

"This!"

I turned to Jayy, who sat me on the chair in front of him."

"Jayy, what's goi-"

"Ariel. It isn't the laughs we share about the simplest things. It isn't the starlight in your eyes that I see when I look at you. It isn't your beautiful features or the way you laugh or even how you snuggle into me at night. It's the way you make me feel at home, even when we're miles away. I know. We've hit a bump in the road now that your dad is in town, but I, as well as Dahvie, are here to help and protect you. You are the reason I wake up in the morning. The only thing I ever want to think about. You are the sun; the most important star in my sky."

I couldn't speak. I was speechless. Jayy hugged me and I sobbed into his shirt. I didn't want anything to happen to him or us or to the life we have.

"I love you, Ariel."

"I love you too, Jayy. Oh so much."

He kissed me with so much passion as he held my face so gently. His hands running down to my back in the most innocent form. I'm so happy to have this man in my life.
