Faith came back around midnight, like Dean had said. When she walked in the motel room, Dean was awake, sitting at the table near the door. She assumed he was waiting for her to come back because he wants to talk to her.

"I'm bringing Sam back to Stanford in a couple of days."

Faith gave Dean a confused look, "Why not tomorrow? The quicker he's gone the better."

Dean got up and stood next to her, "He wants to fix things between you and him. He feels bad about it."

"Well he should! He did this to me," Faith said, remembering Sam was sleeping in the same room.

"I know, just give him a chance. I hate him for what he did to you and I can't imagine what you're going through right now, but give him a chance. He deserves it."

Faith snickered and said, "A chance? He had a hundred chances not to walk out the door on us, but he did anyway. He chose school over us. Do you really think I can get over that so easily?"

"No, but I think you can at least hear him out," Dean said looking right at her.

"What if he doesn't fix it?" Faith asked.

"Then I shoot him or he goes back to Stanford, kinda depends on what I feel like doing to him." Faith laughed as she sat down on the bed and started to take her heels off. "Where did you go anyway?" Dean asked her, standing at the foot of the bed.

"Well, I went to see if there was a job somewhere close-by, there's not, so I started asking around if anyone had seen Dad."

Dean was interested now, "And... Did you find anything?"

Faith smiled at him, "Yeah, some guy saw him about three days ago. He said that Dad stayed in this hotel for about seven hours before he went west on the interstate." They both knew why he went west, Black Water Ridge. "So are we going after him or not?" Faith asked him.

"Well, should we, I mean, he asked us not to go looking for him in case he was being followed?" Dean replied. He knew as well as any other Winchester that John was probably being followed by something.

"Screw that, I'm going after him. He can deal with Sam if he stays around long enough."

Dean's eyes shot straight up at her, "You know he can't be here when we find Dad. He'll just start to fight with him. And what are the chances that Dad even wants to see Sam?" They both knew the answer to that question. It was no doubt that Sam and John would fight after they found him.

"We can leave him at Bobby's," Faith suggested.

"We'll decide what we are gonna do in the morning," Dean said.

"Fine," Faith got up and went into the bathroom to change. She had been wearing her hunting gear over a tank top and jeans. She changed into some yoga shorts and a shirt and went to go to bed next to Dean. Dean was already asleep so she just kissed his cheek like she used to when she was little and fell asleep, unaware that Sam was watching her.

When Sam woke the next morning, Dean and Faith were already up and gone. There was a note on the table saying that they went to get breakfast. Sam took a shower while they were gone. When he came out, they were back with bags from the convenience store down the street. Sam walked up to the table and found that there was coffee, donuts, and pie.

He grabbed a glazed donut and a cup of coffee before Dean said, "Well, I've got to go gas Baby up."

Faith looked at him with big eyes, "Ok, I'll come with you."

Dean looked back at her with a smile, "Nah, it's ok, you can stay here." Faith's shoulders slumped over and Sam knew why Dean made her stay here, it was time. Faith turned around and picked up her cup of coffee.

Sam set his coffee down on the table and began to talk, "Faith, Dean probably told you about this already so I'll just get on with it. I am so sorry. I never meant to hurt you like this. If I had known this would've happened then, I wouldn't have left."

Faith turned her back on him and sighed, "Sam, we've been through this. We don't need to do this again."

"Yes, we do. Hey, look at me." She turned around to face him. Sam found that her eyes were beginning to swell with tears. "I will never leave you again, ever. I will always be there for you now. Screw Stanford and the interview; you're more important."

Faith smiled through her tears and said, "I'm sorry I punched you." Sam laughed and hugged her. She embraced it and he could feel her tears on his neck.

"It's ok, I shouldn't have followed you, after all, what would I expect from the best vampire-slayer?" She laughed and for the first time in years, Sam finally felt that Faith had been set right. "So are we good now?" Sam asked her, releasing her from the hug.

"Yeah, we're good, but Sam just remember, walk out on me again and I will kill you myself."

Sam raised an eyebrow and asked, "Does this mean that I can get a goodnight kiss from now on?"

Faith laughed and placed a kiss on his cheek, "Yes, if you want me to."

Dean came back about half an hour later from getting gas.

He walked into the motel room with a smile on his face, "Well doesn't it feel like The Jay Leno show in here?" Faith and Sam laughed. "So, are you two good?" Dean asked walking to stand next to Sam.

"Yeah, we're good," Faith replied smiling.

"So does this mean that I don't have to go back to Stanford?" Sam asked.

Dean gave Faith a confused look, "I thought you had an interview."

"I do, but I can cancel. You two are more important."

Faith walked across the room to the dresser to brush hair as she asked, "What about Jessica?"

"I'll tell her that I'm leaving school. She'll probably dump me for that, but I don't really care anymore."

Dean raised his eyebrows and said, "Wow, look at you. Love 'em and leave 'em. Some demon called me while I was out. They have Dad and in exchange for him they want us to stop looking for Azazel. He's in a processing building in the middle of Black Water." Faith and Sam were looking at Dean when he finished.

Sam said, "So what are we gonna do?"

"Well, we are gonna go after Dad," Faith explained.

"We'll go to town together and then it's all separate from there. We don't know if he's being followed so we need to just assume he is. Then, I'll go in first; I'll call you twenty minutes prior to that. I'll have holy water and my machete with me. It's most likely a trap, so I'll put up a fight. They'll probably tie me up and call one of you. Whichever they call first needs to call the other one so they know. Whoever they call first has to come after me. Whichever one it is needs to create a diversion while the other tries to find me and Dad. They'll probably keep us separate so look for Dad first. He'll be in the center of the building while I'll probably be put in obvious place. After you find Dad, come find me and I'll do an exorcism and send all the demons back to Hell; any questions?" She finished. Dean and Sam were staring at her. "What?" she asked.

"How did you come up with that plan so fast?" Sam asked.

"Well, I figured that Dad had probably been captured by demons so it wasn't gonna be long before they called us. I had the plan ready to go in my mind for a couple of days now."

Dean stepped towards her, ready to protest, "Yeah I got a question, why in the hell do you have to go first? Let me go."

"No, I'm the stronger one in Latin so they'll want to take me out first." Dean didn't like it, but it was the best and only plan they had.
