The aroma of freshly, brewed coffee and different assortments of pastries was something that Yugi found himself becoming familiar with in the few days that he had worked at Domino Square Café. I could get used to this, he thought as he sent off a couple of customers with a smile on his face. Maybe it was the knowledge of knowing that he now had a job to support himself, or the calming atmosphere of the café located on the upper corner of Domino Square that set him in a good mood.

He was all smiles and it was because he was finally bringing in an okay income, with out the help of his other services. And, It was enough to help pay his share at Yami's apartment. As well as, he now had medication: So maybe he felt just a little less hopeless. He could actually talk to a stranger and not be reduced to a stuttering mess. He was on cloud nine...

Too bad life had a way of fucking with him. A large hand suddenly slammed down on the register counter, "What the hell do you call this shit?!" An obviously angry customer all but yelled.

Not knowing how to handle a suddenly enraged customer, Yugi was at a loss for words. This only managed to anger the man further, "Did you not hear me dumbass? What is this shit?!" He hollered slamming a paper cup of coffee on the counter, spilling it with the force.

"And just what is going on here?" Ryuji Otogi, the manager asked walking over to a shaking Yugi and ticked off customer.

The man across the counter glared, "This stuff you call coffee is shit, I want a refund."

Otogi crossed his arms defiantly over his chest, "Bakura, your drunk and its only twelve thirty, now may you be so kind as to leave this establishment, I don't take well to drunks pushing around my workers."

The man, now known as Bakura scoffed and stumbled out of the café. Otogi sighed before looking at his new worker who was pale faced and shaking, poor kid. "Don't worry about him," he said to Yugi who finally snapped out of wherever his mind had gone, "Bakura is a regular, he's only like that when he's got a big corporation project due. Don't take it to heart, okay?"

Yugi nodded, "Sorry Otogi, I'll get right back to work."

The manager nodded and walked back to the kitchen in the back. Yugi's mood had dampened somewhat, but he would let it bother him later, he had a job to do. And with that he took the next customers order.

After being let off his shift at three, Yugi decided to take a detour to one of the clothing stores on the square before going back to the apartment. It was a small store, but they had a pretty nice selection and they carried extra small clothing for men which was hard to come by for Yugi. He bought a couple of clothes that he could mix and match and a few outfits for going out considering he and Yami had done so a lot lately. Paying the cashier, Yugi finally went home for the day.

Sighing as he stepped through the doors of the apartment, he kicked off his work shoes, dropped his bags on the table, and flopped on the couch of the living room. Yami wasn't going to be home until later so he had a little time on his hands before he began cleaning and making dinner. A little nap couldn't hurt right? Eyes shutting on their own, Yugi fell into a light sleep.

At 7 p.m. Yami stepped through his apartment doors. It had been a relatively busy afternoon for the bar and he was beat. He slipped off his shoes at the door and made his way to the living room. He noticed the lump on the couch and snorted, the kid was passed out. He walked over to Yugi and lightly ran his hand over the teens messy hair, he frowned. One Yugi Mouto had been taking up a good portion of his mind as of late. He never seemed to not pop into Yami's head.

It could have been the way that Yugi seemed to make everyday something to look forward to. Yami had grown accustomed to Yugi and his determination to learn and grow, it's something that he found intriguing as well as impressive. Or it could have been the way that Yugi's eyes lit up whenever he completed a task that Yami had etched into his mind. He liked those eyes the most, such a dark blue that they looked purple, how odd? Of course, he couldn't say anything, his eyes were borderline red, or crimson, that's what everyone he knew said at least.

With Yugi now living with him, it just felt right. He got to see the broken-hearted boy from before change before his eyes into a person so caring. He had never met anyone like him.

He sighed, he'd have to wake Yugi. It was such a shame really, Yugi looked really cute when he was asleep...

A groan came from the smaller male as his shoulder was shook. "Mm, no~" he placed a couch pillow over his head trying to fend off his attacker. Yami laughed loudly at the sight. "Yugi, come on; it's almost eight."

"Almost eight!" Yugi shouted and shot straight up, looking at the clock across the room. Indeed, the short hand of the clock was a little always from the eight.

"I'm sorry Yami," Yugi said facing the other man who had plopped beside him on the couch, "I had intended to just nap for a few minutes, guess it turned into hours huh?"

Yami nodded and laid his head back on the couch, "It's fine, we both seem pretty beat."

" Yeah but whatever, I'll get dinner ready," Yugi said and stood up from the couch, he stretched; his shirt rode up with his body and Yami felt a weird twinge inside himself, looking at the boys pale, smooth stomach.

"You do that..." Was all he said to the retreating form of the boy as he entered the kitchen.

Something wasn't right with himself, Yami had deducted as he turned on the tv. He had a feeling that he knew what it was, he just wasn't ready to admit it to himself yet. Those feelings were stored away for later.

After eating dinner the two of them settled on the couch, this had become a ritual of sorts. "So, How was work?" Yami asked.

"It was okay? There was this drunk, angry customer that made me a little less enthusiastic, but Otogi sent him off. After that I was fine."

"Who was the guy?"

"I don't know his full name, but Otogi said that he was a regular, Bakura? Yeah, that's his name."

Yami choked on the tea he had sipped, "Bakura? Oh man..."

Yugi tilted his head in confusion, "What? Do you know him or something?"

"Unfortunately. Bakura Akinadin is his full name. He and I go way back. I've known him since Junior High." Yami explained, "He's always been an ass when he's drunk. Believe it or not, he actually calmed a bit since he married his husband Ryou."

"Oh, that's nice for them." Yugi commented.

Yami laughed, "Ryou has a way of taming him, he's the only one that's ever been able to. He's a miracle worker that's for sure."

He sounded interesting, "I'd like to formally meet them sometime..." Yugi said with a small smile.

"Of course, you need to make friends anyways. How about I set up a lunch date, in fact...I'll even invite everyone else, that's way we can kill six birds with one stone."

"Six?" Yugi questioned with a goofy grin that made Yami's heart jump into his throat.

"Y-yeah, You haven't met Seto, Ryou, Malik, or Marik yet."

"You have a lot of friends..."

"They're a pain in my ass that's for sure. But yeah, I'll set it all up." Yami said throwing a smile at the boy.

Yugi didn't even think about it when he wrapped his arms around the other males neck and hugged him, "Thank you so much, Yami!"

He didn't know what to do about the sudden weight on him, but eventually he wrapped his arms around Yugi in a tight hold. "You are welcome." Yami said into the crook of Yugi's neck, ignoring the fact that he loved the feel of him in his arms, and the sweet smell that he gave off naturally, and the fact that his heart was going a mile a minute: he knew exactly what this feeling was.
